They speak English and take care of their guests as family. 2 wonderful private onsen. Beautiful hike along the river just behind the hotel. Just remember this is bear country so sing your way through the hike.

The area is quiet but still not far from the restaurants and convenience store. Our preschool kid didn't have a problem walking around. The room was cozy and relaxing to stay in. The host was very kind. He gave us recommendations on places to go and drove us to the train station. We will stay here again if we visit the area.

Established in 1666, Honke Bankyu is housed in a registered historical building. The Japanese rooms feature traditional decor, futon bedding and a flat-screen TV. The whole experience was exceptional, the food magnificent, I would definitely recommend it and stay there again

Annex Turtle Hotori-An ligger omkring 20 minutters gang fra Nikko-helligdommene ved Daiya-floden og de grønne skove. Der er varme kilder med udsigt over floden. Though a bit far from a lot of things, being by the river and near the park was beautiful. Their onsen was great at night but you get spectacular views in the daylight

Nanaeyae har en god beliggenhed i Kinugawa Onsen-distriktet i Nikko. Det ligger 22 km fra Nikko Station, 25 km fra Nikko Toshogu-helligdommen og 41 km fra Kegon-vandfaldene. The kaiseki dinners and breakfasts were clearly the highlight of the stay. They might arguably have been worth the entire cost of the stay, and make the ryokan itself a destination for a quick trip from Tokyo. The setting is beautiful, looking down over a rushing mountain river. The staff were attentive and seemed to be genuinely sweet and caring people.

Hotel Sunshine Kinugawa is located next to Kinugawa River, just a 6-minute drive from Kinugawa Onsen Train Station. It features various entertainment facilities like karaoke and table tennis. Second time staying at Sunshine. I truly think it is great value for Kinugawa Onsen. The rooms are luxurious, the onsens are beautiful and serene. I love the foot bath cafe, and the view and bridge in autumn are spectacular.

Featuring an indoor and outdoor hot spring baths, 2 dining options and a terrace, Nikko Station Hotel Classic is located in front of JR Nikko Station. It offers cosy rooms with free WiFi access. The breakfast was very delicious. The room was very comfortable.

Beautiful traditional hotel room. The bed was quite comfortable and the outdoor bath was wonderful. I also enjoyed the public onsen as well. The breakfast and dinner were extremely generous portion-wise and quite tasty.
