They give very good advice on the area and the Onsen. The place is spotless clean, beautiful and very quiet and comfortable. For a fee, you have access to Onsen in neighboring hotels. The town of Yudanaka is also very nice. The hotel is very close to the train station. From there, you can take a bus to the Snow Monkey Park. Convenience store, bars and restaurants are all walking distance too. If you need to do laundry, be aware that you have to start it before 8pm (might be good to know if you're traveling around and didn't have time to do it before).

The staff was very attentive and spoke good English as well. They explained about the facilities, the meals and about the neighbourhood and the sights. The onsen was amazing, great view from the outdoor pool and the temperature of it was also just right! The food was delicious and plated really beautifully.

Wafu no Yado Masuya ligger blot 5 minutters kørsel fra Yudanaka Station og byder på smukke værelser i japansk stil, varme kilder samt gratis WiFi. Nogle af værelserne har eget udendørs spabad. Aburaya Tousen offers luxurious contemporary Japanese-style accommodation with an amazing 11 types of hot-spring baths and free WiFi. The service, private onsen and private dining is in good quality. Especially the service, my son dropped a few pieces of Lego to the lift well and the hotel staff managed to get it the next day without our request!

Amazing stay, it was one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel is great value for money for the quality of service. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the rooms spacious and clean, the onsen was great and the breakfast was delicious. They even provided a little yukata four our baby. A highlight of the stay was the dinner, a real traditional experience. There's also a burger restaurant and café at the lobby with games for children. There's a lovely park nearby too. Overall an amazing stay that we recommend, we'd love to come back one day. Thank you!

Located in the historical Shibu Onsen district, 渋温泉小石屋旅館 offers both private and dormitory-style guest rooms as well as an on-site restaurant where local dishes, wines and craft beers are available. Staff were so incredibly friendly and accommodating. This was our first time staying at a Ryokan and using an onsen. Staff provided clear instructions so we felt comfortable and prepared to enjoy the onsens. The shuttle to the snow monkey park and to the train station was also such a nice surprise.The rooms are very spacious, they really create a vibe of travelling back in time! Thank you so much!
