Sihanoukville is 38 km from Lonely Beach, while Song Saa Private Island is 4.1 km away. The property is only accessible via a private transfer which can be arranged at an additional charge. We had the most amazing stay at Lonely Beach. So amazing that we stayed for 2 weeks. It was a fortnight of pure relaxation which I’m certain will always be a wonderful travel memory for us. The bungalows are set in the trees , only a few meters back from the beautiful sandy beach and soft waves . They are rustic, so we were joined by some spiders and geckos on occasion but that was all part of the experience. Better yet, we were also joined nightly by some of the owner’s dogs, who slept on our stoop and greeted us in the morning. They were the most loving creatures and we grew so fond of them . We quickly got used to the eco showering , which was often a welcome cool down after a day under the sun on the secluded beach 🏖️ The staff and Dani, the owner, were so welcoming and friendly and they were always on hand to lend a hand or information . The restaurant on site serves up some delicious food too - we grew particularly fond of the chocolate pancake, the shakes, and the yellow curry ! Lonely beach is the perfect place to unwind and escape reality. Its location on the north of the island requires a tuk tuk or motor cycle journey, both of which are very easy to arrange from your port drop off. The secluded location means you don’t have to share the beach with throngs of people and you can enjoy the peace and quiet . Can really recommend this place for an authentic island experience! P.s you’ll see the best sunsets ever!

Located 77 metres from Coconut Beach, Nice Beach Bungalow offers accommodation in Koh Rong Island. The property also has a restaurant and a bar. Guests can enjoy a range of Asian and Western dishes as well as handcrafted cocktails. Free WiFi is offered in public areas. Everything in this place was really awesome. We took the room with the AC which was a good call since it got quite hot in the afternoon. The bed was comfy. Basic toiletries were given as well, shower had good pressure and heater. Although the first day, the water was spewing brown water but they quickly resolved this issue after informing them. Just a heads up, there were electricity cuts that happened twice but it affected the whole island. They also offer tours. Free snorkelling gear and kayak is available for use too. They also provide beach towels for their guests. You can rent out a motorcycle from them too but the roads are very scary and steep with potholes around some areas so be very careful. The food was lovely, their fruit shakes are absolutely delicious. They also have a free water dispenser. Don't miss out on the sunrise! All the staffs were so lovely and friendly, even gave us farewell bracelets. If you want relaxation, this is the place for you. :)

Koh Ta Kiev was definitely my favorite place so far (after traveling for 3 months), and Kactus is the place to stay! The staff were all super nice and interesting, the place was very nice and comfortable, with the best chill-out area :) A very social hostel, filled with interesting people that are mostly also looking to disconnect a bit from the phone So many walking trails through the jungle, many activities to book (though you can do most of them by yourself), and a lovely arts and crafts center Loved sleeping within the forest/sea sounds, and sleeping in the tent was also quite comfortable The facilities were always kept as clean as possible (considering it is in an isolated island)
