It is about 30-45 mins drive from Bidiyya town on the desert.

Thousand Nights Camp ligger i Shārqiyah. Nogle af ferieboligerne har aircondition samt opholdsområde med fladskærms-tv. Der er legeplads på overnatningsstedet. Der er ikke wi-fi. Fantastisk Camp! Vi kørte i vores lejede 4WD til campen og det fungerede perfekt med bil escort af guide fra hotellet, og vi kunne nemt selv finde ud igen. Varm velkomst. Virkelig hyggelig Sheik telt delux med brus under åben himmel. Super god mad, hyggelig atmosfære både dag og aften. Rigtig god pool - stort plus. Vi vil VARMT anbefale denne camp til en overnatning i ørkenen.

Must experience it! Being in the middle of the desert with all the comodities, we watched the sunset and sunrise from the top of the dunes, amazing! In the morning you can see camels walk by the resort and the service is great, hope to come back soon!!!

The Best Western Sur is located in the picturesque city of Sur, famous as an old fishing village and traditional manufacturer of dhows. The hotel is very nice, well-maintaned and rooms spacious and comfy. The breakfast was unbeliavable with everything possible to choose from. Really nice staff and plenty of parking spots right in front of the hotel

Very friendly staff and general manager giving flexibility as to our booking. The camp is very wel organised and extremely clean.

Proprietor is very friendly and shared interesting information about Oman and the Omani people, camp is in the perfect location by highest point of the dunes for excellent views of sunset /sunrise and near Bedouin camel herd where we were able to see camels roaming and feeding, food was also very good and our tent was quite comfortable. Overall camp had an excellent atmosphere where we could enjoy the desert experience and relax with other guests.

We weren't really sure what to expect going into the desert, we would have been happy just to have a comfy bed. This place absolutely exceeded our expectations: the staff was great, the buffets for breakfast and dinner we're fantastic, and the complimentary activities we're really appreciated (sunset drive up the dunes and a quick 15min camel ride). The lamb was insane.
