The staff were amicable and professional. We took the boat tour on the Douro, which was relaxing and scenic. We would definitely go back again to the Octant Douro.

The property is a 15-minute drive from the scenic Paiva Walkways, which provide unique views over the surrounding area's natural richness. Most enjoyable stay in quiet accomodation. The premises are very clean, breakfast is superb.

Guests can chill out in the outdoor swimming pool. This is probably the best positioned hotel in all of Douro valley as you are down by the river. It's beautiful and peaceful and you're surrounded by nature. The hotel staff is super helpful and professional. The hotel offers activities like kayaking and stand up paddling. We stayed in the villa which had incredible views and slept so well. I'm recommending this hotel to all of my friends!

We were looked after by the very friendly staff - Carla, Tamiä, Silvia and the kitchen staff. Always a smile and very helpful. The hotel has been designed in a very tastefully manner and with greatest love for detail. Just beautiful! The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of freshly prepared foods and is very beautifully decorated. The picnic basket is a must! A wonderful place to unwind, relax and enjoy. The property has mountain and river views, and is 23 km from Natur Waterpark. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. This is a very beautiful small and family hotel. The stuff and especially Angela was so nice and so helpful we just fell in love. She was absolutely amazing and helped us a lot in making reservations for restaurants and tours. The food was also very good and the rooms are very well maintained.

Everything was beautiful! It’s a 800 year old building but in pristine and very chique furniture & design. It has recent expansion and it is top quality walls, bedroom & bathroom. The view from rooms, lounge, patio, pool, and dining room is pristine like a painting. The owner and those that work there are incredibly friendly, kind & accommodating. We felt like they were family’s The dinner, wine & desserts were top of the line. I highly recommend the place and if ever visiting Portugal, will stay again!
