The staff was extremely welcoming , explaining every detail to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The welcome drinks were much appreciated after a long day! Our room located on the 2nd floor had two small balconies overlooking a public square with a view of the castle. It was impeccable and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was always well garnished with fresh fruits and pastries, and of course an a la carte menu. The hotel is located two min. walk to the green metro line which means easy access to city center and airport. This was an extremely enjoyable stay. Worth returning to.

Anjo Azul is a renovated 18th century property, featuring a modern décor and a charming façade covered with Portuguese tiles. Positioned in a very central and convenient location of local, traditional architecture. Area is generally residential and quiet during the day, but very lively at night-time with many bars located there (yet property has quiet immediate surroundings). Several coffee places with local pastries and restaurants in close range. Staff was absolutely excellent, very friendly, helpful and thoughtful, creating a sense of intimacy and making you feel welcome. Room was very clean, with a large bathroom and an interesting view to internal courtyard of local character. Overall, great value for reasonable price.
