Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. Guests can wear colourful yukata robes at the property. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Staying at Morizuya was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. This cozy, family-run ryokan radiates warmth and hospitality. Manager Hachisuka and his family do everything they can to make you feel at home, and our stay truly exceeded expectations. The ryokan is charming and traditional. We stayed in a spacious, comfortable tatami room with beautiful décor and a view of a peaceful garden. The room included a private toilet and sink, while bathing is done in their private onsen (yes, private — no need to bathe with others if that makes you uncomfortable). Morizuya provides yukata for men and women, sandals, bags, towels, and an onsen pass for the town’s seven public baths. Women can also choose a kimono for going out around town and shopping, while men can (and should!) relax in their yukata for this same purpose. I especially want to highlight how Manager Hachisuka truly went above and beyond. He’s not only an excellent photographer — taking beautiful photos of my fiancée and me among the cherry blossoms and guiding us to great photo spots — but also incredibly kind and attentive. He personally helped us with our schedule and drove us to the station early in the morning to ensure we caught our train on time. That level of care is something we’ll never forget. If you’re unsure where to stay, I strongly recommend Morizuya. We left with beautiful and unforgettable memories of this warm and authentic experience in Kinosaki. A few quick tips about the bath: There are two onsen inside the inn. From 7 AM to 3 PM, they’re public (men/women separated). From 3 PM to 11 PM they become private — no reservation needed. If the door’s unlocked, it’s available. Go in, lock the door behind you and enjoy. You’re welcome to bathe with your family or partner. Be sure to shower and clean yourself before entering the bath. Walking around town in your yukata(or kimono) is part of the charm, so don’t be shy — it’s all part of the experience.

Guests stay in rooms with paper screens and exposed wood, and sleep in Japanese-style futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. An LCD TV, an electric kettle and a fridge are provided. Bathrooms are shared, but each room has a private toilet. Spacious room with a nice view, great in-house onsens alternating between male and female use at different times of the day, and a cozy coffee room offering complimentary coffee and tea. The staff was very kind and included members with a good command of English. Convenient location, close to the train station and the town's main attractions.

A recently renovated ryokan set in the Kinosaki Onsen district of Toyooka, Base House Kinosaki お子様無料でサウナもアクティビティも楽しめる城崎温泉一棟貸し宿 One Group a Day Private Villa with free shuttle service, sauna and outdoor activities offers accommodation with with a private beach area, private parking and free WiFi. The air-conditioned accommodation is 700 metres from North Disaster Earthquake Monument. The property is non-smoking and is situated 1.6 km from Kinumaki Shrine. We felt at home immediately! It's very very cozy and comfortable. Yuko came to pick us up at the station and prepare a delicious Japanese breakfast we took some bikes and bikes to the onsen and the beach very easily. Also the car is so cute and welcome 🤗

Yumoto Ueyama Ryokan provides a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 15 km of Himeji Castle and 42 km of Omiya Hachiman Shrine. The air-conditioned accommodation is 43 km from Miki History Museum. Guests can use the hot tub and the public bath, or enjoy mountain views. My spouse and I loved that there were private family baths available. The meals were also incredible and gave us a real taste of Japan.

Gunkakutei, a property with a garden, is situated in Asago, 28 km from Choanji Temple, 29 km from Toyooka City History Museum, as well as 50 km from Soun-ji Temple. The property has garden and inner courtyard views, and is 22 km from Ito Kiyonaga Museum. The ryokan features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi.

At the ryokan, every unit is fitted with a tatami, a flat-screen TV, a shared bathroom, bed linen and towels. A fridge and kettle are also available. The units are equipped with heating facilities. The room is beautiful and spacious at a reasonable price, our hosts made us feel so welcome and helped us get a taxi for the next morning to view the unkai. Flawless!

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Yuuhiken is set in Asago, 22 km from Ito Kiyonaga Museum and 28 km from Choanji Temple. This ryokan offers free private parking, full-day security and free WiFi. The ryokan has family rooms. It was a privilege to stay here, in this beautiful house in a less journeyed part of Japan. The hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and this visit - along with the breakfast - was a true highlight of our trip so far. Go visit Takeda Castle Ruins if you have the time!

Situated in Toyooka, 2.8 km from Kinumaki Shrine, Kinosaki Onsen Hanakouji Saigetsu features accommodation with a hot spring bath and a public bath. The 3-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Nice clean and the employees were very accommodating for my food preferences and went above and beyond with the service and hospitality

Featuring Japanese cuisine prepared by award-winning chef, Tadamichi Ota, set in the Arima Onsen district in Kobe, 900 metres from Stamp Museum, Okuno Hosomichi features free WiFi access in the guest room and free private parking on site. Arima Onsen Station on the Rokko Arima Ropeway is a 6-minute stroll away. Guests can relax and soak in the hot spring bath on site.

The 4-star ryokan has garden views and is 4.2 km from Seto Shrine. The ryokan offers a hot spring bath and a housekeeping service. The service was exceptional, the attention to detail the staff is unlike anything I have experienced before. I really recommend this Ryokan to anyone visiting Kinosakionsen. Enjoy!
