Most perfect location you could imagine!!! It is such a beautiful area full of japanese style buildings and the "vibes" are truly amazing! Also lots of great street foods, temple nearby and still close enough to the Station. Staff was super kind and we got a little sweet treat every day which was very tasty. The onsen was great too and our room was also perfect! It was clean, enough room and felt very authentic to us. Would definitely stay here again!

At the ryokan, the units include bed linen and towels. We had a lovely stay at Nunoya Ryokan. The atmosphere was warm and authentic, the room was very comfortable, and the staff made us feel at home. A perfect place to experience traditional Japanese hospitality — would definitely stay again!

The food was exceptional, the place was so authentic, but like in a quiet without trying kind of way they were not being like that for us they were like that so it was true and that was super appreciated. The place and the people and service outstanding. 2 of us are vegetarians and 2 eat everything and they made us a special menu.

Hands down the best hospitality we have ever experienced. Maki is the most gracious of any host we have ever had. Excellent food (lots of it). This accommodation is worth planning an entire trip around. 2 private onsens. A massage chair. It was our first time with a traditional Japanese futon and we were surprised how comfortable sleeping was. Beautiful scenery and the most hospitable hosts (Maki, her mom the chef and Kenta the house pup) Thank you for an unforgettable stay! We can’t wait to come back again someday.
