The Shiroyama Terrace Tsuyama Villa ligger i Tsuyama, 2 minutters gang fra Tsuyama Wonder Museum, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. By far the best hotel experience we had in our 1 month long trip to Japan. Hotel was easy to find with free parking and an excellent location with amazing service. Could have stayed here for a whole week with the castle views!

Ryori Ryokan Tsurugata ligger i det historiske kvarter Kurashiki Bikan og tilbyder indkvartering i japansk stil i en historisk bygning fra Edo-perioden. This was a very special place to stay- I think possibly the best hosted experience I have ever had. It is a traditional ryokan and so I expected the courteous welcome and the room to be laid out with a futon while I ate, as well as a lovely ‘ofuro’ bath. However my expectations were exceeded because the staff gave a truly warm and welcoming, homely service - I really felt as if I were a guest in someone’s home. Everything was explained in detail so that I could appreciate the flowers, the history of the town, best places to visit, the local art gallery (they even have local artwork in the hotel) and of course the ‘Kaiseki Ryori’ (formal many course meal). I was quite sad to leave. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt like a ‘respected guest’ - thank you so much!

I found this hotel as a halfway point between two cities I was visiting by pure chance. And I’m very happy I did. The room was beautiful, with its own open air bath overlooking the trees. The hotel itself is surrounded by beautiful gardens, on a hilltop overlooking a valley. The dinner was an experience in itself, and the breakfast buffet was of ectremely high quality as well. I was the only non-Japanese but staff were incredibly accommodating, patient and helpful. A highlight of my trip.

Kifuno Sato ligger i Mimasaka, 18 km fra Former Residence of Mitsukuri Genpo, og har gratis cykler, en have og en restaurant samt gratis privat parkering. The thoughtful anniversary gift they gave us, the exceptional food and cuisine, the cleanliness of the hotel and free drinks, the private outdoor bath we had in our room. The friendliness of all the staff.

Traditional ryokan with superb food, private onsen, and it is quiet at night. Best sleep of our trip. Hope to return one day. One night was not enough in this area.

Stunning onsen (natural hot water spa) next to the beautiful yubara river with a direct view of the Sunayu (the famous and fabulous free public bath near the dam in Yubara) from the spa waters. Gorgeous Kashikiri (private rental) onsen bath on the roof top of the hotel called "Sora No Yu" that will take your breath away with the night view of the lighten up yubara bridge and river. Kind staff. Delicious breakfast. Relaxing atmosphere. Cute rabbit motifs all over the hotel. There is a cute message board for guests at the entrance to leave messages on little wooden boards (perfect for artists). Beautiful hotel. Relaxation heaven. Perfect location! Highly recommend Hakkei in Yubara Onsen.
