We were well received and kindly upgraded to a huge, luxurious room; every comfort you can think of was there. The circulation from bedroom to onsen to swimming pool can be complex, but we were given an English language map that greatly helped. This was our second stay in Karatsu, and we'd love to come back and stay in Karatsu Seaside Hotel another time !

Guests have access to a hot spring bath and open-air bath. The hot spring water was the best among the Ryokan trips. Full independence was guaranteed, and it was even questionable how the forest lounge could be managed like this. It was the best ryokan ever.

They offered them a lovely birthday cake with traditional Japanese celebration attire for them to try on! We loved their care and wonderful hospitality.
