The meal in the restaurant was absolutely delicious! I was also pleased to see that when I returned to the hotel after being at a concert, the hotel bar was still open and I was able to buy a soft drink to rehydrate myself

The facilities were great and the room exceeded my expectation. A lot of places take photos with a wide lens to make it look more spacious, but our room really was very spacious and comfortable. Especially after coming from London where the reverse was true. We did not initially book the rooms with the hotel breakfast however we did change our mind on site and it was fantastic, they provide a delicious buffet style breakfast and also offer special orders such as fried eggs or waffles at no additional cost, simply just ask a server. On our last evening I ventured down to the gym and was pleasantly surprised how very good the gym facility was. Very well stocked on gym equipment! Suffice to say, a repeat at The Spencer Hotel next time I'm in Dublin is a high likelihood!

Dublin is home to more than a quarter of the entire Republic of Ireland’s population and was originally founded as a Viking settlement. A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green-spaces of any other European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.
Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College holds the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.
Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.
Being one of the most youthful European cities, Dublin has a vibrant nightlife scene with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.
The Dublin Airport is the gateway to your Irish holiday, so whether you’re looking for a stylish hotel, a self-catering apartment or a trendy hostel, Booking.com has a perfect deal for your Dublin trip.
Dublin is a compact city, which lends itself to walking...
Dublin is a compact city, which lends itself to walking various districts; one is never too far from a pub or museum, and there's a key shopping street North and South of the river ( Liffey). Eating out is expensive, but there are green spaces ( eg St Stephen's Green and Merrion Square) for picnics, and some free museums
( eg Collins Barracks, and the Museum of Modern Art in Kilmainham).
Having a city tram, the Luas, makes travel to the outskirts easier than ever.

Dublin exceeded all expectations!
Dublin exceeded all expectations! We loved exploring as many of the pubs and restaurants as we could... Guiness and Jameson storehouses did not disappoint... So much going on all the time - the aroma of Irish cuisine, traditional Irish music and people from all walks of life spilled out into the streets of Dublin... It's senses overload for sure. Dublin is a must see and do...

Dublin is a relaxed, friendly city.
Dublin is a relaxed, friendly city. Being compact, it's easy to navigate. The hop on, hop off buses are a great way to see all the best tourist attractions, if you have limited time in the city. Three days was enough to see all the major attractions. Pubs offer well priced meals with big portions. Be prepared to have hot chips with everything!

I have visited Dublin for the last 19 years and there have been many changes, mostly with immigration. It didn't feel like the Dublin I knew and it made my heart sad. I was there because I brought a friend with me to show them the beautiful Ireland I knew. The best thing they liked in Dublin was the museum at the post office. Still love some of the pubs, especially Madigans on O'Connel St., The Irish people are still lovely, friendly and welcoming. You can find several entertaining shows in the evening and the Hop On Hop Off bus is great for sight seeing day of night, with knowledge and often entertaining drivers. There were other things I would have loved to have
visited but I guess the tourism was out in full force and very crowded.

Very convenient and still nice city.
Very convenient and still nice city. Compared to other capitals like London or Paris it still feels "safe". Architecture is well looked after, people are open and helpful. Local guides are great. Attractions are a bit mix and match.
Guinness factory - a very expensive pint of Guinness, not much else.
Trinity College - the tour was great, the guide very good. The library nah.
The food again, very good. Great places to eat usually don't have fancy store fronts El Grito, Bunsen Burgers or The Stags Head. All yummy and can be found in all sorts of places.
To those in charge do something as the city is not going to stay nice and safe for long.

The must-go city.
The must-go city. Note that hotels are pretty expensive, but you can still find decent ones for an adequate amount.
There are many day tours from Dublin to other cities, but I recommend having a 2-3 days for each, like Cork, Galway, Belfast (you may need a separate visa), and others.
In Dublin, do not miss Guinness Storehouse (1.5-2 hours), Jameson Distillery (1.5 - 2 hours), Irish Whiskey Museum (~1 hour), Temple Bar area, Phoenix Park (you can spend the day there), Dublin Zoo (2-4 hours), Howth (1-day working tour), in-Dublin working tours. Museums, opera, theaters.
Besides hotels, prices are moderate. Expect 7-50 Euro per person per meal, depending on the place.
Shopping is quite attractive, but electronics look too expensive.
Note city transport is not well developed; however, we have not faced the issues in that respect. If using more than 2-3 times daily (in-city transport), go for TFI cards; otherwise, just have Euro coins. The usual trip is 1.70 Euro AND YOU DO NOT GET CHANGE, so it is better to have an exact amount, or you end up paying 2 Euro per trip. The ticket is valid for 1.5 hours.
The location is great to anywhere in Dublin City Center; be sure to bring trainers/sneakers. If you have no car, no problem, you can take the Dublin express from the airport and be there in 3 stops (less than 30 minutes). The place was clean and very quiet. The accommodation was as shown and quite comfortable for a solo traveler or a couple. Close to grocery shopping (aldi and tesco), so there is no need to panic about having a long walk from the shops with bags. I have been many times to Ireland, and this did not disappoint.
I had established in advance with the hotel that we could leave our bags early, before check in time, but when we arrived our room was ready which was great. The location is great if visiting Dublin city centre - it was just off O'Connell Street and a couple of minutes easy walk to the Abbey Theatre, where we were headed. The staff were lovely, the beds were comfortable, the aircon kept the room at a comfortable temperature, the room was very quiet, and the shower was great. There was a safe in the room.
Central location near a lot of tourist attractions, restaurants, shopping areas, hospitals etc.
Like most city centres you need to careful at night.
I got street parking across the road from the hotel at the weekend.
Comfortable bed and a nice room.
Breakfast was superb and included in my rate which was great value for money in Dublin.
Nice bar and dining room on the ground floor.
Complimentary water, tea & coffee facilities in the room.
Overall a good experience.
the location was great, especially for our first time in Ireland and Dublin. Also, the facilities are nice and there is a good. restaurant we practically lived at each day haha. The staff is friendly and super thoughtful in that they were so wonderful helping my mom who is older and has difficulty getting around quickly, and they surprised us with a sweet welcome birthday chocolates and Guinness on them because my mom and I were both celebrating our birthdays. ☺️
Comfy compact room with everything you need. Had A great nights sleep. toiletries, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, plenty of towels, air con / heating , tea coffee and biscuits, check out at 11 so time to recover from a great night around dublin. Car park 2 min walk just across the road. Could not fault the room it was perfect for our little stop off around Ireland. Lovely friendly staff and I hope the bar lady managed to book herself a nice holiday !!
The advertising of this facility was misleading. I would have never paid €325 for a room with a bed, two chairs, no towels and shared toilets and shower. The locks did not work on toilets or bedroom in doors, owner had to work on my bedroom door to make it work properly.
Any attempt to find another place was impossible due to France/Ireland Rugby Match that night. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL, it is what I would consider a Hostel, with a private room.
Convenient to major transport hubs.
Luas very convenient &nearby.
Good for direct Luas to 3arena concerts&events.,Abbey&Jervis very accessible for City Centre shopping&dining.
Abbey,Peacock,Gate theatre nearby!
Mainline rail services together with Dart services within 3 minute walk from Dublin Connolly.
20-30 minutes to Howth&Malahide.
Bus Aras just across the road for nationwide bus sevices with Bus Eireann&Translink(Northern Ireland)
We can definitely recommend this hotel. It has a great location to the busy city centre. You can choose between an Irish breakfast and a continental breakfast. Continental was good. Bar was nice, you can sit downstairs, or outside. Food in the restaurants was great. Live music/Irish dance, we really enjoyed this during dinner.
Rooms were comfortable.
I would definitely come back to this hotel for my next trip to Dublin.
We stayed at The Wilder at the beginning and end of our tour of Ireland. On both occasions it was just a delight. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was to-die-for, and the room, though small, was very comfortable. The hotel really felt like home-away-from-home. It's located in a lovely residential neighborhood, near the Grand Canal, and within walking distance (or tram) to Grafton St, Temple Bar, etc.
Surprisingly good hostel in Dublin city centre . I usually don't stay in hostels but this is definitely one of the better ones out there . Had an early morning flight to catch and the usual Dublin hotels were really expensive and this place was really good , there was 6 in a room but you had your own cubicle and a bit of privacy so I would definitely stay there again in the future .
The staff was amazing and very welcoming. They gave us great suggestions for breakfast places nearby and were always ready to help out. The hotel is very close to a major shopping area and a 10 minute walk from Connolly Train Station which is helpful if you want to take public transit to other parts of Ireland. We walked everywhere in Dublin and it was great.
Lovely modern hotel within a 25-minute walk to UCD. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Upper front rooms may also provide seaview views. Overall a good varied buffet breakfast is also provided.
Dublin Bus bus stop (to/from city centre, approx 30 minute trip) as well as Aircoach bus stop (to/from airport, approx 40 min trip) just outside hotel. Recommended.
The hotel is very central to Dublin City centre and surrounded by bars and cafes. Lovely canal in front of the hotel where you can walk in to town.
Staff lovely and really helpful - especially Joao on reception who was so welcoming and friendly.
The hotel room was immaculate and bed incredibly comfy.
The location was great. It was near a bus line and theatres too (if you have time for that). Breakfast was great with a big assortment. The hotel had character with it's windy halls and wood trim. We forgot the plugs for the UK/Ireland and they were available for sale in the lobby (coin machine).
Myself and my partner have stayed constantly 2 - 3 times a week at Motel One. It’s absolutely, hands down, the best hotel for the cost in Dublin City Centre. With its location, facilities and above all amazing staff, you cannot go wrong!
This is an excellent hotel... always good rooms... exceptional... and so close to the city centre.
Lovey views from the rooms of Dublin and if u get a room on the south side u have a view of the mountains!!
Staff are very friendly.
Loved the location, it was close to everything without any nightlife noise. It was quiet and comfortable and chic. It was one of the few hotels with AC in all of Ireland. Breakfast was adequate.
The location was fantastic and the hotel is charming. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. By far, our favourite hotel to date in Ireland.
