The room, two queen beds, was lovely, One small night table held a great device that housed all kinds of plug -ins and charging receptacles. imho, each bed should have a separate light so that one can read and the other can sleep. Nice small fridge. View of the Citadel (Room 1626) and close to the elevator. Close to many places to eat. Quite pricey, especially the parking!!!! Fabulous breakfast!

Halifax is a very attractive port city with many old buildings and newer ones which are also well worth seeing. Great boat trip options, including the ferry to Dartmouth plus the highlight being the Harbor Hopper in Halifax which is an amphibious bus which starts off the tour on land and then goes into the sea. Much of historic interest is in Halifax, including the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic which has features on the Halifax explosion and the Titanic sinking. Also the citadel fort has much military history and great views. Halifax is a very walkable city which includes the pedways where you can walk between some shops and hotels without having to go outside to negotiate your way through the traffic on the way to somewhere e.g. the boardwalk and is also ideal if there is bad weather. The lovely boardwalk stretches almost 4 km in total and is brilliant for getting exercise and seeing the sights while walking down it, with plenty of free chairs to relax in along the way. Also there is a great central pub called The Split Crow and nice restaurants nearby in the central area.

I was there primarily to see "Mandy Patinkin in Concert", so I can't review Halifax for you, other than the driving experience... Street signage could be better in a lot of the downtown core... but yes to coming back to see more of it....

I've stayed in this city many times.
I've stayed in this city many times. Always lots to do no matter what your interests. It has a pretty vibrant night life, and I've always felt safe here, no matter where I walked. Lots of history, lots of night life, lots of dining options (Seafood is a MUST!!), lots of tours, museums, etc. I live in Ottawa, and Halifax easily compares in the museum and history aspects, and in some ways is even better. Go there. You won't be disappointed!!

Halifax is fantastic.
Halifax is fantastic. We travelled there 2 Septembers in a row (4 and 2 days respectively). if you stay downtown, you are able to walk to all the local attractions- we especially loved the boardwalk, citadel, and shopping downtown. Many many fabulous restaurants and museums. Also, fun to stay in Halifax proper and take excursions to local attractions( ie Peggy's Cove and Laurencetown beach) Prepare for rain - but this in no way detracts from having fun in this great city

If you only have a bit of time do the harbour hoppers tour.
If you only have a bit of time do the harbour hoppers tour. Lots of historical information about Halifax. A tour of the Citadel, important or historical sites and a brief trip into the bay to see the Halifax Harbour. Two thumbs up and very reasonably priced.
This is a beautiful, modern hotel with a classic, elegant feel. Super clean. The executive suite we stayed in was lovely (other than the street-noise issue already mentioned), with floor-to-ceiling windows offering great views of downtown and a partial view of the waterfront. The staff were all very courteous and professional. Wonderful location right downtown, walking distance to restaurants, shops and the waterfront.
This is a good hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. It offers good value with breakfast included.
You likely won't be terribly impressed by anything here if you are expecting 4 or 5 star but it's certainly nicer than budget hotels and motels and the downtown location is excellent. The value and location is really what this hotel is all about.
We would have no problem staying here again.
Close to downtown Halifax. The gym facilities were a nice bonus (this is where we showered - bring your towel or a rental is $3.50). Cheap price to stay. It had a Starbucks and Tim Hortons on site. It felt safe with 24/7 security and 2 sets of doors to lock. The staff is kind, especially Shirley in the C-Store. They gave us recommendations on where to go and what to see.
The location was perfect for all the landmarks and sites downtown. Plenty of things to do and see in the Halifax and surroundings area. The staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful. There were plenty of places to eat out during the day and evening within 10 mins walk. A very good alternative to a conventional hotel accommodation.
The location was convenient to downtown Halifax ( I was at a conference at the Convention centre)
Breakfast was good (yogurt, coffee, hard boiled eggs) also cereal, baked goods
Quiet place with wifi to prepare for the conference presentation
There was a coffee pot in the room (which I didn't use)
Bathroom as expected
A great place to stay in Halifax, within walking distance of the downtown attractions with considerably more charm & lower prices than the big hotels. Our room was large and welcoming. We appreciated the good-sized closet, the table & chairs by large windows, fun & funky decor, & access to the shared dining room all day.
Perfect location to explore downtown Halifax - walking distance to the Citadel, waterfront and many restaurants/pubs. Staff was always very friendly. Room was spacious and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub in the rooftop. Everything we needed for our stay in the city!
Very nice decor, nice touches like a coat rack in the hall, shelves, well-equipped kitchen. Great central location close to all amenities (Quinpool Centre) and transportation. Easy walking distance to downtown Halifax and waterfront.
This is a luxury hotel. All of the staff were on point. Our room was beautiful. The bathroom is exceptional. Loved this location for Halifax. We were able to walk to dinner and to the Maritime Museum and enjoy harbor.
The one good thing about this hotel is it's location. It is in the downtown and close to restaurants, bars, live music and other downtown Halifax attractions. That's it!
Good location, walkable distance to Downtown and the Harbourfront. Hotel was functional so was ideal for a first night after flying in to Halifax. Room was spacious.
The main reason we chose this hotel was because of the breakfast which was included; price is comparable to most things downtown Halifax, but this sets it apart.
Katie & Jeff have been great hosts. Very clean and fully equipped apartment. Near to downtown. I would book this place again every time I go to Halifax.
