The family hosting the stay were so lovely! They don't speak much English but made a great effort to ensure I felt welcome and at home for the whole time I was there through Google Translate. The location was perfect for going to and from the airport. The airconditioning worked very well which is always a bonus. Such good value for money!

There was a lot of space in the property, plenty of utensils for cooking, free soaps for the shower and free laundry machines. We didn't really use the common space but it seemed really well laid out and looked after. It was like a home away from home and really comfortable. The metro and tramlines weren't too far from the property either.

This apartment was amazing! Everything is brand new and super modern, with high quality appliances and very comfortable beds (with scented sheets). The space is very well thought out, which was perfect for the 5 of us. The view of the Lagoa from the apartment is incredible! The pool area is really nice and there's also a bar that sells food and drinks. There are more facilities too, including Sauna, games room (snooker table, table tennis and table football), but best of all, the beach is just across the road! We were contacted by the owner who was very friendly and helped answer any questions.

This is a palace of an apartment, well maintained, safe and very clean. The host knows how the run his business. I’ve traveled many places and stayed at lots of appartement, but this apparent is one of a kind and of world class. The apartment is furnished to meet all your needs. From a code lock on the door (so you don't have to take a key with you on the beach), to a beach tennis set, beach chairs, parasol, wasmachine, airfryer and even an automatic vacuum cleaner that cleans the house when you’re out. There is too much to write down, but believe me it is beyond your expectations. The location is perfect (Copacabana beach and very central) and the host is champions league level. The host provides you with a package of information about the neighborhood and everything there is to experience in Rio. If you have questions or need help, the host is immediately available and will answer your messages within a minute. If you’re visiting Rio, I would recommend you to book this place… Eduardo, many thanks for having us!

Ilha da Gigoia is the best Rio has to offer. The boat crossings are a special treat. The authentic warmth of a community without dangers, the Barra attractions without pretentiousness and high prices. Oasis do Barral fits perfectly in the island. Of course if you want a “sophisticated” international hotel where you need a car or taxi to go anywhere, this is not for you.

The host was very much supportive and replied everything within short moment when communicated on WhatsApp. The apartment is very clean, full of all amenities. Comfortable beds, sofa, smart TV, all kitchen appliances, toilet are everything in order and exceeded our expectations. We will really recommend future travellers to stay at this place

The apartment is beautiful, spacious, with stylish art and decor. As a Brazilian living in the US, this was an oasis to come to at the end of the busy days in Rio. The location very convenient to major sites. The kitchen has all the things which was great for cooking with local ingredients from the various markets. Josh and his team are friendly and attentive. Would definitely come again.
