The host was there when we arrived, he explained everything to us, gave us advice on how to get to the closeby warm lake. The apartment was above what we expected, well equipped, including a working spot in the living room and a great kitchen. We were two and had a wonderful time.

It was a real home, with lovely old furniture but an up to date kitchenette. It felt like my grandfather’s house, warm and welcoming. It was also in easy walking distance from everything. Armando was the perfect host, very responsive and helpful. Incidentally, he made that wonderful bed, which, for the first time in my life, made me feel like a princess. The house is quaint and very charming. I know that over-tourism is an issue, but something to remember is that in depopulated areas of Spain, such as Alhama de Aragon, support for people like Armando allows them to stay in their towns.
