Self Catering Accommodation in Karimunjawa

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts speak perfect English and are incredibly kind and helpful — always available to guide us and offer great suggestions. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and we slept amazingly well. This is quite rare in Karimunjawa, where nighttime can be noisy due to prayer speakers — here, instead, we found true peace and quiet. We had originally planned to stay only three nights before moving elsewhere, but if we could go back, we’d definitely spend our whole time at Loyal Friend. It truly felt like home. The location is excellent: just a short distance from both the center and the harbor. We also rented a scooter at a very fair price — it was in great condition and gave us no issues at all. This is a special place that we’ll always carry in our hearts, and we recommend it wholeheartedly and without hesitation.

Jojo was an extremely helpful and amazing host. The rooms are very clean and the bed very comfortable. Great location close to Pier. Jojo helped with our snorkelling trip and motorbike hire. Really lovely stay.

This hostel in Karimunjawa is the best! It's super clean, and the staff, Dimas and Morgan, are awesome. They help you plan your island hopping trip and make it so easy. Highly recommended!

The hotel is located around 10 min away by car/motorbike from the city center and main port. The view is amazing and there is a private beach where you can swim and canoe for free. Upon check in you get a complimentary lunch and every evening around 4 pm you get some snacks like steamed corn or fried bananas and some fruits. You can also buy extra snacks like tempe mendoan and dadar jagung and they are really good. The pindang srani that we ordered for dinner was also really good. When our boat home was moved up to 7 am, they packed our breakfast for us at 6 am in the form of indomie, chicken and an orange. Such great and helpful staff! The hotel also has a small kitchen where you can cook indomie and eggs (provided for free). There is a bathtub and shower and the hot water works well. Would definitely recommend this hotel to other people who wants to visit karimun jawa.

Villa Tengkek was no doubt one of the highlights of our Indonesia trip. Both the interior and exterior are stunning. The house is beautifully decorated with a clear eye for art and design and the surrounding garden and private beach are absolutely breathtaking. Stephane and his staff were wonderful, the food excellent, and the were attentive and helpful while you still had complete privacy.
