The basic welcome pack was much appreciated. We had access to two bedrooms with ensuites, if required. Accommodation was fully equipped and instructions well defined. Mary booked us into the local Tavern. It was an easy walk and served excellent meals. Sat Nav in car took us to the property.

We stayed at the house for two nights at the start of August, and enjoyed it very much. Olivia is a responsive and helpful host, with a great sense of hospitality (the porter cake was an eye-opener!). The house itself is as represented in the photos, the apartment being the lower floor, and is nicely decorated, with an very comfortable living room and bedroom with excellent beds. We slept well and woke to the sounds of the stream that runs some meters downhill from the house. Facilities for breakfasting are very good and covers all the essentials. The location is some minutes' drive south of Westport, quiet and rural despite only being a short distance from town. Take the R335 near Westport, then turn left onto the L1822, and it's a short drive further. More easily located in some daylight the first time one arrives! One can also continue further on L1822 to get a short-cut onto N59 if going toward the Killary Fjord / Connemara area. Westport itself is a lovely town with lots of opportunities for strolls and good food, and the house is a good base from which to go either around Westport area or further afield north or south.

This is a great property. Spacious. It is located on a busy street during the day, but at night it quieted down with the odd car/people heading home from the pub. Parking on the street right in front of the accommodation was not an issue at all, you do have to pay for parking but the meters are right near the building. The location is excellent. A 10 minute walk to the octagon, which includes walking past shops, grocery stores, multiple pubs. The kitchen, rooms, bathrooms, living room - all very clean. You can feel the host has pride in the location and its staging. I did stay in multiple nights to eat/cook and the kitchen is large, lots of room to make a meal, and there is a washing machine which was so great to have access to. The main room is super comfortable if you do decide to stay in and have a glass or two and watch TV. The bed was very comfortable, and the bedroom i was in was large, simply decorated but elegant. Initial access to the building was no issue at all, the host even popped by to say hi and drop off a snack, which was so kind! A great place, especially if you are spending a bit more time in Westport/the general area and have time to make yourself at home. The accommodation is a great place to base out of. I loved the space, the location and the town. I would stay again, this place was so comfortable, it felt like home away from home.

From the very first morning, when we enjoyed breakfast while gazing out across the sparkling sea, this place felt like pure perfection. Every corner of the house reflects a true love for detail — nothing was overlooked. The kitchen was stocked not only with the essentials, but also with those thoughtful extras you never pack in a suitcase: cooking oil, spices, utensils, even a sturdy pan for homemade meals. The furnishings were stylish and of high quality, far beyond the typical “holiday rental” standard. The location is simply ideal: just a short stroll to a beautiful beach, with several wonderful restaurants nearby. For day trips, Achill Island and its breathtaking surroundings offer more than enough to explore. Our 4-year-old daughter also felt instantly at home. The fully enclosed garden gave her the freedom to play safely and happily, which made our stay all the more relaxing. In short: a flawless stay, in a home that combines comfort, elegance, and charm. We could not have asked for more — a wholehearted 10/10.
