The house itself is big and comfortable, with a great kitchen area and a living room in japanese style. The hotel is an authentic Japanese house with two stories, a kitchen, and full amenities. It can comfortably accommodate up to ten people. Since we were only four, we had plenty of space and truly enjoyed the unique experience of staying in a traditional home with a garden in a regular neighborhood.

Loved the bright open light presentation. Perfect location amongst the old town and nice walk to the station. Staff were very responsive to our queries. We were a party of eight and it worked well. The futons on top of a mattress was comfortable for our seniors. Would highly recommend

Incredibly spacious with loads of appliances and decently close to Magomejuku, i.e. a good base for the Nakasendo hike.

It is a truly one of a kind accommodation. It is situated in a very quiet and pleasant town away from city noise and it is combined with a vinyl and old CD listening experience. You can listen to whatever you like in a spacious house and you can buy the records afterwards (so we did!). The owner was really friendly and speaks English very well. He was kind enough to drive us to Magome-juku town as we couldn’t find a way ourselves.

Really friendly hosts and loved the experience of sleeping in a traditional Japanese house. The outdoor area with the barbecue was also really enjoyable and the house had everything we needed.
