The property is in a fabulous central location, right in the heart of the city. Our room (C) was at the back of the building, so nice and quiet with no noise from outside. Clean, spacious, and comfortable with a kitchen area, dining table and chairs, plus tv with sitting area. Perfect for our 10 day stay. Hosts Esther & Ad are lovely, and delivered the most amazing breakfast every day. Highly recommend this place.

The flat’s location in the old town, only 10 minutes’ walk from Haarlem railway station, is excellent. The photos are a fair reflection of the flat. It is bright and spacious, with an excellent shower. The kitchen/dining area and washing machine were very welcome, particularly as we had been travelling for some days and needed somewhere to settle and make our temporary home. Eating out in Haarlem for a week would have been expensive so we were glad the apartment gave us the choice of cooking and eating in. The balcony is a sun trap ( and also really handy for drying clothes!). We had a couple of unexpectedly cold and wet days; the central heating was welcome and surprisingly effective. If you want a soundproofed city break, with double glazing and a lift, you should probably keep looking. The stairs are typical for a Dutch house of this age and the windows are original. For a city centre apartment this is incredibly good value for money and some local noise should be expected. We loved trying to guess what the church bells were playing on an hourly basis. Two other points to note. I am 72 and managed the stairs with a large backpack. My wife would have felt completely safe if she had been staying in this area on her own. The hosts were friendly, helpful and in regular contact. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic apartment, right in the centre of Haarlem and close to the shops and a great selection of bars and restaurants. it's modern and stylish and has all the facilities you need and a little more! It's located on a quiet street without traffic and has good central heating if you travel in Winter! Mick is very friendly and accommodating and makes sure you know what you need to know and have what you need to have. The extra touches the apartment has with the decor and furnishings makes it extra special and is very much appreciated! We loved our stay at Magdalena House and will definitely be booking to come here again!

Everything was perfect. Jitka is super friendly, both via messenger and in person. The apartment is really nice and well equipped with everything you need and beyond. Exceptionally clean also. The parking space was much appreciated. Everything went fluently. Recommended!

We stayed for two nights in a row. The studio was tiny, very functional and had everything we needed for our stay and more. With instructions from our hostess, we found the shopping area, restaurants and transportation to travel to and from Amsterdam. The bed and bedsheets were very comfortable and smelled very clean. Jose drove us to the airport and we got to know each other more. This experience gave us a chance to have a short stay at a Dutch community. That was a big plus.

The name is very well chosen! It is indeed a real paradise. It seems like you enter another world and you can feel that everything is made with love! Full privacy because the house is on an island that only you can enter. There is a beautiful parc around the lake that invites to have a walk. And if you want to come with your family or some friends, there are also other beautiful accommodations available. The owners are really creative! We had the pleasure to shortly meet Rob - what an interesting and welcoming person! I can only recommend and will be back as soon as possible :) thank you very much!!!
