Hofer is a mere 5 mins drive away , with Spar and others not too far away too. I will highly recommend this apartment for holiday makers , esp when you are travelling in a family

I very rarely return to anywhere on holiday as I like to explore new places, but I will make an exception for this wonderful Austrian apartment. The location is possibly the most scenic of anywhere I have stayed. It was well equipped with a lovely private garden and also a shared garden which had a trampoline in it that my kids loved. It's only a short walk to restaurants, shops and the lake in strobl and there are great transport links for exploring further afield.

The town Bad aussee is about a 15 minute drive from Hallstatt and is the cutest and quietest one .

Also, the apartment itself is almost new, everything is in a perfect state and the furniture and the equipment is of a high quality. But maybe more importantly is that the hosts, Susie and Frank, are the perfect hosts! Very kind, very friendly, you have a feeling that you’ve come to a family member’s home and not rented some stranger’s apartment. They even took our little kid on a tractor ride without even asking them or expecting that from them (the kid loved it).
