I stayed about a week and felt I had the perfect balance of peaceful time to myself lounging by the pool or petting the dogs in the common area and social time, chatting with the owner Kim and her family who were visiting and were kind enough to extend invites to share time with them. Outside of my time spent in Mecca, I also liked that there were bikes I could take to explore and we were close to a restaurant with a nice beach view, live music and a bar. Plus, Kim gave recommendations of where to eat, what to do in the area and how to get around. Plus since I overlapped with Thanksgiving, I got to be a part of a black expat Friendsgiving and family festivities which was very nice as a solo traveler.

I was welcomed by the friendly daughter Anelka of the owner . 2 rooms and one living room kitchen. All very clean and modern. In each room one double and one single bed very comfortable, air condition, ventilator. The bathroom is large. Hot shower. Toiletries. Large modern kitchen well equipped with induction hob, microwave, coffee filter machine and a lot of plates, glasses . One sofa in the living room. TV. Strong Wifi . They answer quickly to WhatsApp messages. The owner leaves next door. They largely deserve 10.

We travelled with our 3 children. When we arrived, Juliana was for the moment away (next to the Jungle Villas), but it was so sweet that she left us a really cute note to the gate😊 which has her number and says that we are really welcome and she will come back immidiately, when we call her. It was lovely. It was like home- clean, nice pool, great area and as we love to walk, it was walkable to the Puerto Viejo and back, even the kids. Two grocery stores near the villas and if you search you can find pink bananas also😉 And there is a sloth living close to Jungle Villas, amazing! Thank you, Jungle Villas! Definately recommend🙏
