Cumberland House ligger i Cockermouth, 22 km fra Derwentwater og 46 km fra Wasdale, i et område hvor man kan cykle. The location was great. Right in the middle of town, was a great base. The whole House presented excellent very new and fresh. A large residence with plenty of room. We stayed as a family of five , but I could see it bringing comfortable for more people. The touches of family friendly games were adored by my children. A full size Washing Maxhine with a separate dryer is a great addition. Combo washer/dryers are ok but seem to take a lot longer. We had an issue with transport and ended up arriving quite late. Which I am now disappointed I did not get the full experience. NOTE: We arrived almost 7 hours after our scheduled check in. The host was exceptional in accommodating our late arrival. I cannot praise Gillian enough.

Superb accommodation in a gorgeous part of the world. Our apartment was well-stocked, spacious and clean, with an amazingly comfortable bed and fantastic shower. The location is great for walking, and parking was really easy. We really felt like it was our home from home for those few days. Will definitely be returning.

Great accommodation with easy parking and the view from the window of the city as designed for photographers. The facilities in the apartment were of a very good standard, the bottle of prosecco was a nice bonus. The town centre is a very short walk down steep steps (... and back up again : (), Tesco and restaurants are only about 150m away. Definitely worth the money.
