Apartment was clean, had plenty of towels, disposable toothbrushes and body washing sponges. The manager was super nice, and the location was very convenient. We didn’t have a car, but everything was so close, so we didn’t need it anyways. We had amazing view of spectacular fireworks at the roof top!! I can keep going for many more positive experiences. We will be back!

I had an amazing stay in Shimoda! The place was wonderfully authentic, with a charming atmosphere that felt uniquely local. The beach was just a short walk away, and there was a nearby restaurant serving excellent food—definitely a highlight of my trip. The landlord was incredibly kind and accommodating, even driving me to the train station after my stay. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a relaxing and genuine experience.

The property was beautiful and the surrounding area was even more so. The staff could not have been more helpful, giving us a ride to/from the onsen as well as the train station in the morning and gave us recommendations on the best places to go in Mochimune. Communication was great, even when we spoke very little Japanese they were extremely helpful. Would recommend this for anyone who wants to escape the busy cities for some peace by the sea.

We loved the friendly and helpful owners, the sweet cat, the adorable treehouse that came with our booking, and the surrounding area. Walking to Yumigahama Beach was just a stone's throw away and we had easy access to a couple of restaurants that were good. On another day, we explored the coastal trail all the way to the heart-shaped cave and it was beautiful. The futon bed was very comfortable and we had plenty of space for the four of us. This stay was the highlight of our trip to Japan for me!
