Great location on the central street with lovely cafés, beautiful building and the street itself. Very interesting and nice house, very authentic and pretty comfortable. We were on the 3rd floor and needed to go down to the 1st floor to the kitchen, but it was not a problem for us. The hosts are super nice and friendly, collected us from the station, told about good places to eat and visit in town, taught us some Thai, as well as told about some events going on in town. Very hospitable. Plenty of complimentary drinking water is a separate thing to say thank you for! I would stay at this place again when visiting Lampang. Totally recommend!

We booked a grab from the airport for 110bht and were at lampang hideaway within 15 minutes. When we got out of the cab we were met by Eric the Dutch co-owner of Hideaway who checked us in very efficiently and who explained where everything was and how everything worked. The cabin where we were staying was modern but traditionally constructed with a large verandah and extra seating area overlooking the river Mae Tui. The cabin had a large very comfortable bed, a separate toilet and showered, a kitchen area with sink, a , fridge, TV and air con. We were really happy with the level of comfort that was afforded by this stay. There was a fantastic swimming pool that we had to ourselves for the whole stay which we loved. We rented a great little scooter from Eric which was a joy to ride and reasonably priced. Tudtu was the wife of Eric and she was lovely, really kind and helpful with lots of suggestions and advice when we asked. The food from Hideaway was exceptional and although we ate elsewhere once or twice we couldn't find anywhere that was as good or delicious. The kitchen closed at 17.00 but we ordered food before which was brought to our cabin and neatly wrapped so we could reheat in the microwave and have later. Lampang itself is a delight, very clean, fairly quiet, laid back and the people so kind and friendly. There are many things to see and do in the area but on the whole we just chilled and wandered the streets, there was always something interesting to see. We loved the peace and quiet of the Hideaway and loved the sounds of the birds in the morning and frogs calling in the evening. To be honest we were bowled over by how lovely this place was. Our only regret was that we only booked for 4 nights, we should have booked 2weeks. Thank you to Tudtu, Eric and all the wonderful staff at Hideaway for making our stay so special.

We talked in english with a guy and we were hosted by his parents who treated us very kindly. The location was great in a small village. We stayed in an old Lanna house. The dinner and breakfast were authentical and delicious.
