Outdoor jacuzzi in the evening cold is a special experience.

Centrally located in Poiana Brasov, 10 minutes on foot from the ski slopes, Alpin Resort Hotel offers accommodation with complimentary access to a semi-Olympic pool. In the winter, free shuttles to the slopes and back depart every 5 minutes. We stayed in the apartments section of the hotel. The apartment itself was huge, with two bedrooms - each with its own bathroom - and a very spacious living room. Once we figured out how to adjust the radiators the atmosphere inside became wonderfully comfortable, especially with the towel warmer as an added bonus. Breakfast was excellent, offering a large selection of food and running conveniently from 7:30 to 10:30. We also booked treatments at the hotel’s spa, which we enjoyed very much and found to be fairly priced, with the only real downside being the lack of snow, though of course that’s not something the hotel can control.
