The hospitality of the hotel staff was outstanding. The first day we arrived late, it was a weekday between 2 touristic seasons, there were maybe 2-3 rooms filled only. They opened the hot tub and sauna, cook dinner just for us (and the food was really fresh copious and perfectly done). The general manager Sorin offered us local palinka, spontaneously suggested different things to visit, told us about history of Dacian people with his sense of humor... Other waiters were very attentive too, when the buffet is not worth (too few guests) they even remember what we like and serve us fresh and generous breakfast: amazing omelette, cheese charcuterie plateau, veggies and fruits, yogurt coffee and juice... anything you ask for and even didn't think of!)

Situated amidst the serene mountainous landscape, the spa offered a range of luxurious facilities that left me feeling rejuvenated and refreshed, like indoor and outdoor pool, indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, wet and dry sauna and more other. The spa's tranquil ambiance truly added to the overall experience, allowing me to unwind and escape from the stresses of everyday life. The dining options at the hotel were equally impressive. The restaurant served a variety of delectable dishes, prepared with the highest quality ingredients. The menu showcased both local and international cuisine, providing a culinary experience that satisfied even the most discerning palate. Additionally, the attentive and friendly staff made dining an absolute pleasure, ensuring my needs were met and providing excellent recommendations. The hotel's location on Paltinis Mountain was truly idyllic. Overall, my stay at this 4-star hotel on Paltinis Mountain with its incredible spa was a truly unforgettable experience. The combination of impeccable service, luxurious amenities, and stunning natural surroundings created a haven of relaxation and indulgence. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a perfect blend of mountain adventure and pampering retreat.

Offering a sun terrace and views of the mountain, Pensiune Rara Paltinis is located in Păltiniş in the Sibiu County Region, 500 metres from Arena Platoş Păltiniş. Very clean room, quiet sourroundings, close to the ski slopes, nice staff, good food. Parking is a plus (if you find a spot) especially during high season.

This was the best place I stayed in Romania so far. The host was lovely, kind, and very helpful, with enough English to make communication easy. The garden is beautiful, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was amazing. It’s a wonderful choice if you want an alternative to staying in Sibiu, with the bonus of being much closer to nature.
