Chef Emrah was especially helpful and spoke good English which made everything from ski hire to special requests much smoother. Staff went above and beyond to help, offering rides to/from the hotel to the ski lifts (which is usually just a 2 minute walk), took on suggestions for breakfast/dinner options, and accommodated late checkout. Staying at Balsoy was like staying at a second home, highly recommend.

The location was excellent only walking distance to the landmarks. The staff was super helpful. The breakfast was tasty and plenty to choose from. My bed was comfortable and bathroom was wide and very clean. They provided all the essential things in case one might need.

OTEL ÇINAR har en god beliggenhed i Erzurum, 8 minutters gang fra Lala Mustafa Pasa Mosque. Awesome little guesthouse in the heart of Erzurum. The family running the place were lovely. My room on the third floor was spotless and really comfortable. It caught a nice breeze in the arvo and evening, and had a great view of the fort. I was able to park my motorbike in the safe alley outside the hotel, under the watchful eye of shopkeepers and CCTV. Location was perfect. Short stroll to the main sights, good restaurants and supermarkets. There's a big MMM Migros less than 10 minutes walk where you can buy beer. Free 24/7 tea/coffee/water and the WiFi was reliable and covered every floor (30mbps down/10mbps up). Will definitely be staying again when I come back through Erzurum. Thanks Kerim and family!
