The restaurant has fabulous room and the breakfast is to die for, so much choice and the desserts are unreal. The staff are amazing, everyone we met walking along greats you a big smile, the stay go out of their way to do everything for you from checking in to arranging the transfers into Paraty each day and evening. Tassiana was amazing for organising the boat cruise, which was unbelievable, she really couldn’t do enough for us. Going up and beyond and awaiting when we needed some urgent laundry taken care of she arrange this for us too and also arranging a really nice transfer for us to Ilha Grande. Thank you Tassiana for everything and all the other staff at Apple House.

Pousada Do Ouro is a pleasant 18th century house in the historical region of Paraty. Just a 10-minute walk from Pontal Beach. Everything about this place is perfect and totally worth the money. The staff was incredible and make our stay perfect from the beginning to the end. We arrived early morning (4am) and everyone was extremely helpful despite our inconvenient timing. The breakfasts are delicious (try sweet version of the local pancake called tapioca) and the localization of the place is perfect, just inside the historical part of the town. This was such an amazing and relaxing stay and we will recommend this place to everyone. If we will ever come back to Brazil, it will be to Paraty and Pousada do Ouro, it’s magical!
