Hôtel & Spa Le Bouclier D'or is located in the historic La Petite France district in a 16th Century building, a 5-minute walk from Strasbourg Cathedral. It offers a wine bar and wellness centre, which includes a spa bath, sauna, hammam and massage room. This perfect little haven in the Petite France area of Strasbourg was an ideal base to explore this beautiful historic city. This renovated old building has everything - character, history, vintage furniture and modern facilities. We visited Strasbourg during the Christmas Market and while it was only a few minutes walk to the major market squares and the local restaurants, the immediate vicinity was pretty quiet - almost no vehicle traffic and just a few pedestrians, who mostly seemed to be taking their kids to the school opposite. We only saw one staff member (I’m sure there must be others) but he was very welcoming and informative, giving us good tips on where to go. We loved our room, which was very nicely furnished, but also had plenty of power points, a device charger on the desk and the most fantastic shower.

Château de Pourtalès is located in the north area of Strasbourg. It has witnessed years of European history, welcoming some of the most important musicians, philosophers and poets. It provides a spa area with Finnish sauna and relaxing facilities and which has direct access to the garden. It’s an exceptional location and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I had an issue with wifi the first evening but this was rapidly sorted out.

The hotel has a spa centre, room service and free WiFi throughout the property. We loved the location and we felt sorry we could stay just one night. The room was very clean and comfortable and nice, the bathroom so spacious, the design minimalist and, we loved everything. The staff was extremely nice and the breakfast very tasty and healthy. Great location, for sure!

Super central and at walking distance from all the attractions. Virginie was a super host, very kind, and always available for anything. I highly recommend this location for a short stay in Strasbourg.

For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. Clean, comfortable and a good kitchen. The host was very welcoming and helpful.

Marlenheim boasts the northernmost grand-cru in Alsace, the family-owned winery Domaine Fritsch is 5 min. on foot.
