We loved our stay here. Location is great, an easy walk from the train station, and lots of food options around. (We loved Nonohana (ののはな), an izakaya just around the corner. We sat at the bar and had a great time chatting with some of the regulars - the food here is delicious and very affordable.) The hotel has an awesome natural hot spring, including an open air one, so I bathed while watching the snow fall - it was pretty magical. Then they offer free ice creams, a manga library, and free massage chairs - it doesn't get much better. The buffet breakfast was expensive but we had a lot of fun trying different dishes - this is a great way to try the famous Aomori apple if you're in a rush. We had apple juice, apple pie and apple jelly!

I simply love everything from the hotel, the rooms, the private baths, the staff, the dining area, breakfast buffet, location, the views, little lounge area. I enjoyed the rooms very much, I wish I could have stayed longer and I still think about returning again. The room was so cozy and modern, bed so comfy. I could live there. It’s so close to stores, the town and connected to train station. I would rate 10 plus. It’s so nice.

Rockwood Hotel & Spa ligger i Ajigasawa og har et fitnesscenter, have, en restaurant og bar. The hotel met our expectations, whilst rustic around the edges, the room had all the facilities we required. The beds were comfortable and the buffet offered great options that met my dietaries requirements (gluten free.) The onsite onsen was a great respite at the end of the day and it was also fun to have the karaoke bar for a bit of entertainment. The ski lockers were also a great

The views are nice from the room, and they gave us a 2000 yens voucher (we didn't have breakfast included) which we used for the shop. When they came to install the futons, it wasn't the right time for us, so I asked them to not do it now. When it was the right time, I went to reception to ask for it, I think the women who normally do it had finished their shift but two men from the reception came to the room and installed the 4 futons (you had to add the sheets.on the pillows and the blankets too). I didn't realise this wasn't their job until it was too late but I was very thankful they did it especially as the room was small for 4 futons and the tables and it required some tetris skills.
