The Golden Crown Hotel is a 5-star hotel located in Ampitya, Kandy, Srilanka. The Golden Crown Hotel was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my entire trip through Sri Lanka including Colombo, the north, and other regions. The service, friendliness, and atmosphere were absolutely exceptional. Everything felt perfectly balanced professional yet genuinely warm. A few people made the experience truly unforgettable. Dananjaya was always helpful, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. He really made my stay more enjoyable with his positive energy. Mlhirini had such a kind and welcoming presence. She constantly made sure I had everything I needed and was always up for a nice conversation. So caring and attentive. Roshan, the manager, is a truly kind person. Under his leadership, the service was simply outstanding. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. If you’re looking for real hospitality and excellent service, this is the place. I’ll definitely come back!

The place was fantastic, it was amazing to wake up with the view from the window: forest, river, mountains and sounds of nature only! We took “making and tasting tea tour”, it was incredible experience to collect the tea and see in my own eye what I saw in National geographic. The stuff was very good, the food was tasty and the house was beautiful

Prachtige accommodatie met oog voor details. Een oase van rust om thuis te komen na een druk stadsbezoek. De medewerkers zijn top! We hebben 2× een heel lekker diner gegeten. En dit alles voor een correcte prijs. Dit benadert voor ons de perfectie. Bij een volgend bezoek aan Sri Lanka boeken we hier zeker opnieuw.

Simpson's Forest - Luxury Boutique Resort & Spa - Kandy heeft gratis fietsen, een buitenzwembad, een fitnesscentrum en een tuin in Kandy. We stayed at Simpson’s Forest – Luxury Boutique Resort & Spa in February 2025 and had a truly memorable experience. The location is absolutely stunning—set among lush tea plantations and forested hills, it’s the perfect retreat if you’re looking to relax and disconnect from the busy city life. The double room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The food throughout our stay was excellent, with a great mix of local and international dishes. The value for money here is exceptional, especially considering the level of service and quality of the facilities. The staff were a major highlight. The front desk team were warm, professional, and very helpful. A special mention to Wasantha at the restaurant—he was incredibly kind and accommodating, making each meal feel like a personalized experience. The only small downside is that the resort is located about 45 minutes by tuk tuk from Kandy city center, which can make getting back and forth a bit of a trip. That said, the peaceful setting more than makes up for the distance. We highly recommend Simpson’s Forest to anyone visiting Kandy and looking for a scenic, peaceful, and welcoming place to stay. We would definitely love to return!

Aarunya Nature Resort has free bikes and an outdoor swimming pool in Kandy. The property features a fitness centre, as well as a garden. The accommodation provides a shared lounge and free WiFi. Prachtige locatie, zelden zoiets gezien. Fantastisch uitzicht vanuit je slaapkamer. Super vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk eten. Een massage is echt de moeite waard en een mooie beleving.

Dreamscape home stay ligt op 1,3 km van het centrum van Kandy en biedt accommodatie met een tuin en een terras. Er is gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. Super super super lieve mensen! De eigenaar spreekt goed Engels en is erg behulpzaam. Hij woont hier samen met zijn vrouw en ouders, die ook allemaal heel aardig zijn! We hebben 1 avond bij hun gegeten en mochten toen helpen in de keuken, heel leuk! Locatie is prima, met een kwartiertje lopen sta je in de stad! Juist wel lekker dat het niet midden in het drukke centrum ligt. Kamer was schoon en had een mooi uitzicht.
