They went above and beyond to accommodate our special dietary needs, showing exceptional care and effort. Their kindness and high level of service made our stay special - thanks! The onsens were a highlight—especially the outdoor ones. The variety of both private and shared baths allowed us to enjoy peaceful, relaxing moments in beautiful surroundings. As it's a smaller ryokan, the atmosphere was intimate and personal, which made our experience more unique. We stayed for two nights, and the ryokan surprised us with two different dining experiences in two separate rooms. It was a fun and memorable touch—and the food was excellent on both nights, beautifully presented with great attention to detail. We highly recommend Ryokan Yamanoyu and would love to return one day. Thank you for making our stay so special!

You will find Japanese Yukata robes, slippers and a hairdryer in all rooms. Rooms come with a private toilet. Bathing facilities are shared. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, our waitress for our dinner was very fun to converse with, along with everyone else we spoke with. The dinner was very well made, the facilities were beautiful, and our rooms were everything we could’ve asked for. The location is also excellent in the middle of everything, allowing for an easy walk around Kurokawa.

We can feel the dedication and care that the hotel owner puts into managing the hotel. Every detail, from the room decor to the food and service for breakfast and dinner, is meticulously prepared. The comfort and decoration in the rooms feel very thoughtful! You can see the sakura petal decorations on the windows and the high-quality patterned and textured toilet paper in the bathroom, showing the owner’s attention to detail. Each room has its own private hot spring bath and toilet. We were pleasantly surprised that the hot spring water flows continuously, which is a huge plus for us after a tiring journey. The preparation of breakfast and dinner in the restaurant is also very thoughtful. The staff provide excellent service, and the food is both delicious and beautifully presented. Overall, it is truly perfect. We would give it a full score.
