We felt so welcome at Vila Marta! We chose it because we wanted to support local owners, and we were not disappointed by the warm, family-like hospitality. The room was spacious, very clean, well equipped, with a lovely view of the ocean. They pushed the beds together for us, brought us fresh bread every morning, and generally just went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at ease. The place is in a very quiet area, so sleep at night is peaceful, and there are buses nearby. We would definitely return!

Boasting views of the Atlantic Ocean, Florasol Residence Hotel is a 12-minute drive from Funchal city centre. It has a large outdoor pool and offers self-catering rooms and apartments. Brilliant location next to tons of bars n restaurants. 2 minute walk from the main pick up point for excursions. Breakfast was really good. Could eat inside or outside. Was able to leave bags at reception before checking in and after checking out too. Price per night with breakfast for end of June was exceptional value for money.

Absolutely everything!!! Very clean, amazing staff and very nice place to stay in Madeirea! We''ll go back for sure.

Calamar Hotel ligger i São Vicente, 4 minutters gang fra São Vicente Strand. Her er en bar og enheder med aircondition. Overnatningsstedet har en restaurant, en have, en sauna og et boblebad. Nice room. Super clean. Great location to get around the island easily. Few restaurants and bars within walking distance in town.

Apartamentos Turisticos Avenue Park er en feriebolig med egen forplejning der ligger i Funchal, under 1 km fra mange butikker og restauranter. Der er gratis wi-fi overalt. We spent ten nights in our apartment and we couldn't be more happy about it: location is perfect, both to visit the city on foot and to take public transportation: several bus lines stop just in front of the building (including the bus to and from the airport) and also the harbour is really close. There is a supermarket just 5 minutes walking distance, a wonderful bakery even nearer and the casino/disco (if interested!) is just across the road. The apartment we stayed in was really spacious, with kitchen, living area, bedroom and bathroom (and a small balcony too, perfect to drink something or just to dry off clothes and hiking shoes), so it did not feel claustrophobic at all and was on the contrary super comfortable and airy. Kitchen was also super equipped with all the necessary for a no-stress stay. Basic cleaning was done everyday. Staff people were wonderful, always ready to help and very kind and available. I cannot recommend this place enough!!! Thank you for everything! P.S. there is also a really nice shared communal area with water, hot drinks, books... We did not use it (there was so much to do in the island in just 10 days!), but it was a nice additional touch!
