The guest house is situated in a charming village surrounded by nature. Our room was cozy, with a warm wooden ambiance. We also had a couple of friendly spiders sharing the space with us, guarding us from any unwelcome mosquitoes. The hosts were incredibly friendly, and the dinner they offered was truly unique. We highly recommend trying the real truffle pasta! It was definitely a charming stay with its own story to tell. The dogs, the terrace, the views, and the pool—everything was absolutely lovely. A perfect summer getaway!

Swimming out in nature, right in the middle of the forest, is truly a special experience. The food is excellent, offering a wide variety of choices, and the staff is exceptionally friendly.

The Vesel family homestead provides a wonderful opportunity to rest and relax in a beautiful but quiet area of Slovenia, away from the crowds. It’s surrounded by forests and hills if you want to go walking but the outdoor space of the homestead is also a perfect place to sit and read, sunbathe or doze. The house is spacious and cool in summer (as long as you keep the windows and doors closed during the day). I was there in a heat wave and didn’t feel any need for air conditioning. We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay and were very happy. The hosts are exceptionally welcoming and friendly and happy to organise a range of activities for you (via the Booking.com messaging) if that’s what you would like. But there’s no pressure. We recommend the wine tasting session in the homestead Vinoteca. It was excellent value and very informative about life in Slovenia as well as local wines. Thank you very much to the Vesel family.

The location is great, especially if you want a quiet place. The apartment is extremely comfortable and everything you need is already there. It is fully equipped and also has a washing machine, which was very useful for us, since we cycled a lot and had laundry to do. Very good as a starting point for cycling or other activities. An additional bonus is the terrace where you can relax in the evenings after a full day of activities. Very highly recommendable!
