More of a bed and breakfast type setup with nice private rooms in m the upper floors with a common living room kitchen area on the ground floor. It was great!

Villa with amazing facilities for medium to big groups, they have all you need for a relaxing weekend trip in Ha Long or even longer. The jacuzzi is a bit complicated to turn on so we did not try that, but the pool and the sauna were so awesome! Great location as well, about 5 minute walk to the beach. Located in a rather empty/ quiet neighborhood so it felt like we could be so loud and no one would care :)

TaMaDu's House ligger i Ha Long, kun mindre end 1 km fra Tuan Chau Beach. Her er et fælles opholdsområde, grillfaciliteter og et fælles køkken. Quiet area but with good views and cafes and mini mart close by. The beach is nice. Still recovering from typhon so quiet. Lovely watching boats go past.

It was beautiful, clean great location. They had a helper who was available for any questions we had right through our stay. I love love, love the dishwasher and all of the kitchen equipment made it really easy for us to cook as a group especially since there’s not really a lot of places close by for food.

Little Alley House er et overnatningssted med gratis cykler og en terrasse der ligger i Cát Bà, 9 minutters gang fra Tung Thu Beach, 2,5 km fra Ben Beo Harbour og 2,5 km fra Cannon Fort. Very nice people. They let us check in early and showed us the house from top to bottom. The apartment was a very large space, good for families. A washing machine on the third floor and two bathrooms made it very convenient. There is a darling tiny Daschund who lives next door who came and visited us every day. We had a scooter and a bicycle at our disposal, which made going to the old town very quick. The apartment is in a local area with lots of food options. There is a nice little bar called “Trang Draft Beer” that is run by a local woman right next door. Don’t be scared about how it looks. The proprietor speaks great English and offered up stories and local dishes for us tourists not familiar with real Vietnamese food. The beer is cold, food delicious, and the prices cheap. We ate here twice during our trip for under $8 USD for our family of three with three beers each. On the other hand, you can walk 1-2 km into the tourist part of town by the water and pay much higher prices.
