This was an excellent base for exploring Nisyros from, and it's just a few minutes from the main square. We loved the well restored whitewashed apartment, it was actually larger than we were expecting. Plenty of cooking equipment in the kitchen and the owners were very helpful people. Very good value indeed. We counted 14 unused electric sockets!

Nikia is a beautiful village especially off season and the location of the studio is wonderful and the views from the roof spectacular. The space is big and clean and the location is great if you want to hike down to the caldera before the tour buses arrive at 11qm.

Incredible view from the patio of the sea and multiple islands in the background. The patio seating was a great place to eat our breakfast. Very spacious apartment with a nice living room area for family members to hang out in. The host left us bottled water and snacks, including fruit, which was very much appreciated when we arrived. The host was flexible on our arrival time to meet us with the keys. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nicely appointed. A shower in each of the two bathrooms was great!

We only stayed for one night at this atartment, which was ashame, because we liked it very much. Mainly due to the fantastic view. From one bedroom you can see the sea and the islands (they have lights in the darkness), from the other - Mandraki and the sunset! Absolutely stunning! There are also two balconies, where you can sit back on a summer night. It is a very spacious and roomy apartment, with a very good kitchen. Everything is of very good quality, absolutely everything: the furniture, the kitchen ware, towels, bedlinen, even the house slippers have a very thick bottom. They provide you with everything you might need during your stay: soap, shower gel, robes, fairy and a sponge for washing dishes, even a kitchen towel, which is a rare find in rented apartments. A pleasant surprise: they welcome you with some fruit, a bottle of water and juice. And there are even some cookies and jam, tea and coffee, which came in very handy. There are two coffee machines. Air conditioners are very good and quiet. The internet speed was very very fast. There are also very good window shutters if you like to sleep in complete darkness. Irini, the lady who keeps the place is really very helpful, and she is always in touch, relpies very quickly. So, we really regreted that we stayed only one night at this apartment.

The view from the terrasse is also beautiful, we enjoyed spending the evening there… The beds were so comfortable also! We slept well, we had a great time. The village of Nikia is also soooooo beautiful and it is so nice to have dinner on the central square at the restaurant La Porta, take time to rest, drink and eat, and then go back “home” just next door… One of our favorite place in Dodecanese.

If it's peace, tranquility and a slice of quiet village life you're after, then look no further. After an initial struggle to find the place arriving after dark (Nikia has no cars in the main village, so you have to walk there along narrow lanes - and that's part of the charm), the apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean and extremely nicely designed in its new refurbishment. We really didn't want to leave!
