Nice historical city, nice view point from the castle, but nothing more to see there, unfortunately the shops were closed btw 11-17o'clock, some restaurants were open to have a beverage. For short visit it is sufficient.

A beautiful town, with great hikes available in the area.
A beautiful town, with great hikes available in the area. There are also several beaches, although they require some hiking to get to, but are absolutely stunning. This is a lovely destination for out-of-season travel! We were here in March and it was perfect. We were warned that it becomes very very busy in summer.

Medieval village, well looked after, quiet, espectacular views from the castle, nice houses and stroll.
It depends of what you're looking for. I have heard is very busy during high season so, too small for a crowd. A car is needed to get there and to move around the area. However, parking facilities are scarce.

Highly recommended for food:
1. Cuban Bar Restaurant Havana in the town center for dinner - great food, impeccable service, really nice and interesting design with the indoor and terrace seating.
2. Cap Sa Sal Restaurant for lunch or snack/drinks (Sa Tuna, 5-10 mins drive from Begur town center) - perfect terrace overlooking the sea and great seafood.

Going to the beaches and walking from beach to beach was very enjoyable.
We used the summer bus to get to and from the beaches, only one Euro, but the last day of the bus was 17th September so after that we took a taxi, 19 euro each way.
It wasn't easy to find a table to eat in Begur when we Spoke English, luckily my partners French is very good, we appeared to get better service when he talked French.

Beautiful old town with a huge variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Easy to get to the beach by bus. It's not great for cars as very narrow streets and I'm not sure about parking. Would definitely recommend as a holiday destination. This area of Spain seems to have escaped high rise buildings - it has a Majorcan feel about it. Definitely worth a trip!
The hotel is situated beautifully at the very edge of the cliff and has direct, EASY access to several (although very small) beach spots, which is quite amazing in itself, it takes around 3 mins to go to their beach from the room. You can also take the car to a bigger beach right near by.
Nice food in the restaurant wherefrom you also have amazing views.
Very friendly staff - they really deserve mentioning! :) Very kid friendly hotel too.
it was stylish, very clean, well appointed with a wonderful couple who own and run the hotel. Anca was very helpful and even hung my socks which I washed in the sink out to dry on the patio above the kitchen. we had to leave early on our departure day and she got up early to share baked cake, fruit and coffee before the formal breakfast was served. she was very helpful in providing us guidance on what to experience locally.
Beautiful boutique hotel right by the most gorgeous cove with walking trails up the cliffs on either side. The food at the restaurant was delicious, as was breakfast every morning. Oscar also helped us find a place to rent kayaks in another nearby town (we went in October so things were a bit closed up for the season in Begur) even though it was his day off. I wish I could have spent more time, it was magical!
Wonderful quiet hotel with a beautiful garden and in a top location between Begur (bustling little town with a range of very good restaurants) and sa Riera (a nice, family-friendly beach), which also offers a few restaurants, among them the very recomendable Ses Negres, which is located directly at the beach.
Fabulous little hotel, conveniently located in the centre of Begur. Extremely well run by lovely people. They couldn’t do enough for us, from help parking car, to restaurant reservations, etc.. Hotel is beautifully decked out. Very unique place. Definitely one for the discerning traveller!
- The experience of a typical Spanish room and hospitality with a modern look
- Staff was incredible, very helpful and caring.
- Perfect location, very clean, great breakfast
- In a small town with narrow roads, this hotel has a 2 huge free parking spots 3-5 minutes away by walking.
It was unique in that you felt you were in an underground cave. Simeone and the team were always at hand and so helpful. The small Hotel was spotlessly clean In all areas.
Begur was wonderful with many restaurants and El Petit Convent was ideally located.
An exceptional hotel in a magical setting Probably best to avoid the super heat of mid summer if you can Breakfast a treat for all tastes and staff attentive and friendly If only for one meal eat in the hotel’s restaurant yummy
Excellent little hotel/B&B, full of character and a short walk to the centre of Begur and it’s great bars and restaurants. If you like small boutique hotels this is great choice, as is the sister hotel the petit convent.
We had a lovely stay at your hotel ! Everything was perfect, breakfast was top, owners are very kind and helpfull. Nice location, quiet AND in center of Begur ! We will certainly come back.
The staff and owner were very kind and helpful. The hotel is beautiful, surrounded by flowers and nature. Breakfast has a good variety, and everything was fresh. We really enjoyed our stay
Hotel is located in the historical building, in the heart of Begur. The view from the balcony was amazing (even could see the stars at night). The common area with books was a good touch.
It is a truly beautiful place! We loved every aspect of it. Cherry on a cake is the restaurant of the hotel, which is probably the best place to eat in Begur.
