Housed in a historical building, this hotel is ideally located in the heart of Mont Saint-Michel. The classic-style rooms overlook the bay, the abbey or the medieval city.

the location is amazing, beatiful view
nothing was said about having to climb long stairs to reach the hotel otherwise we would have packed lighter
the room was next to a freshly painted reception and our room was smelling of paint, the doors were not closing properly, TV not working

Location was great, close to the mountain and damm. Room was very spacious, lots of space to put clothes on and I was pleasantly surprised by toilet room being separated from the bathroom.
This Mercure is situated in parkland just 2 km from the abbey of Mont Saint Michel. It offers spacious en suite rooms, a restaurant and bar and plenty of free on-site parking.

The Abbey tour itself was nice, but the mob we had to struggle thru to get there was a nightmare. And when we were done with the tour? Wall to Wall humanity. As if they dropped Euro Disney into the middle of the medieval walkways. We were here the first week of May, before the U.S. tourists even started arriving. I cannot imagine how awful this would have been with even more people. This is a magnificent place, well worth seeing ... FROM A DISTANCE. The walkways to the Mont were utterly jammed with people, and after a 40 minute wait the shuttles were stuffed like sardines. STAY AWAY! (Or maybe go in February or something). Take a photo from a distance and KEEP ON DRIVING.

The shuttles from the hotel complex are free and run every 10mns or so. It's also a lovely 2km walk from the hotel if you want to avoid the packed shuttle.
Don't bother spending a fortune on the hotels as they're all in the same place and are all about the same really.
The restaurant Le Pré Salé is the best and is a must if you're into good food. Book early though!
I recommend going in the evening to the mont st michel after 3pm when crowds start to leave. We went around 12pm and it was very busy despite it being a Monday mid season.
The self guided audio tour is great and well worth it.
And food is outrageously expensive in the Mont village and really not so good. Best bring a picnic and save your money for a nice restaurant in the evening.
All this said, a fabulous day out!

Mont St Michel is wonderful to visit.
Mont St Michel is wonderful to visit. The accommodation however was very poor and in an annex which was hard to find. The room was small and in very bad condition. Light switch hanging off the wall, tv and bedside lights did not work and space very limited. We had to persuade the restaurant staff that we had prepaid for dinner! Would certainly pick another hotel if we returned, which we won’t.

we knew there would be crowds - so we wanted to see it at night. arriving at 10:30pm, we found our room (finally) and took off to explore with a bottle of wine, a baguette, some cheese and dried meats - and had a glorious experience with not another soul about . . . wandered til 2:30 am and got spectacular photographs and had a wonderful time. got up at 8:30, had cafe & crepes, and left the isle at about 10:30 just as the masses began to arrive. trust me - do it like this . . .

Beautiful place to visit steeped in history but extremely crowded all day long. Only quiet and empty at night but everything is shut then very early and difficult to find a place to eat. The car park is extremely expensive and dreadfully overpriced. I paid €34 for overnight stay in a disabled Car park for which I had a blue Badge. Thought this was exorbitant and a terrible rip-off! However, there is no choice because shuttle bus is so far away from the Mount.

Great to spend the evening on Mont st Michel but aim to arrive by 7pm to enjoy a meal before all the restaurants close. You can look around the island once all the day tourists have gone home.
I recommend getting to the Abbey when it opens, or just after, agsin to get ahead of day trippers.
One night on the island is sufficient.
You need to be mobile. Steps too steep for wheelchairs and push chairs.

It was so cool to stay on the Mont! It emptied out and we felt alone on the island! Our room was right by the cemetery. The room was comfortable but not fancy and dated. The toilet was under an overhang so no standing. The food was good at the hotel they partner with. The lobby is on the second floor of the building where that hotel is. Pierre something? I forgot. Fire was roaring! Great food and we heard all the food on the island was eh. We ate there 3 times. Good!
Great location, very comfortable accommodation. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Easy check in and clear communication before arrival. Great size room with nice coffee and tea maker. Water for the guests. Comfortable, well maintained and isolated room with private balcony. Warm and comfortable bed. Fridge and security safe in room. Easy access to Mont St. Michel. Nice restaurants near by.
Breakfast: the coffee is excellent. Special machine grinds the beans. No fruit except applesauce. Some apples or oranges would have been nice. However, st 5 euros, it is very cheap! Location: very central. Right next to where you can catch the bus for Le Mont Saint Michel. Bus seems to be reliable and frequent enough. Hotel is very good value for the price.
This is the worst hotel in all of France.
We booked a room, and when we arrived, they said that people had already settled in our room. They provided us with a dirty, old room and the smell was terrible. The hotel is very old, it is better to take a good hotel away from the castle and do not suffer.
The location was perfect. It was right on a stop for the shuttle to The Abbey. Our last visit we stayed on the island however this visit was much better staying at hotel Vert. Better rooms, more affordable, just as convenient as the shuttle runs for so many hours of the day now.
amazing location on the island close to the main gate. helpful staff. rooms are spread out in the street so like an outdoor hotel. rooms were perfectly equipped and comfortable. the shower was amazing, great water pressure and hot water. wasnt exoecting so much on the island.
One can see Le Mont Saint Michel from the room window. It takes around half an hour by foot to reach it, but there is also a free bus that stops just in front of the hotel and takes you there. The restaurant is good.
The hotel is in a private street where you can access only through a code. In this small village there are restaurants and coffee so you can eat near the hotel and us good when you are tired. Breakfast was quite nice
Practical, clean and well located. Close to shuttle stop to the Mont. and we had options for food very near. I was sent a code that enabled me to pass the gate and park right in the hotel parking. Staff was helpful
The only reason to stay at this hotel is the location. I wanted to stay on the Mont, and was willing to pay the high price for a mediocre room. Sadly, poor staff service made the experience unpleasant.
Clean and functional hotel near to the stop of the navette which brings you in seven minutes to the Mont Saint-Michel. Parking directly at the hotel, good French breakfast with real espresso.
Situated on the Island. Easy access to the abbey. Breakfast was OK. We were able to walk around the abbey later at night and early morning with out the crowds was the bonus!
Being on the isle of Le mont saint michel is an experience that you need to do at least once in your life. This hotel gave the opportunity to achieve that.
