The hotel was welcoming and immaculate. The bed was the comfiest I have ever experienced. Plenty tea, coffee and milk in room. The bar and restaurant area were well presented and welcoming.
The train station less than 5 minutes from the hotel.

It was clean and tidy and had a fridge and a microwave
Located beside Stockport train station, Holiday Inn Express - Stockport features a restaurant and free WiFi throughout the property. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar.
Only a 5-minute walk from Heaton Chapel Railway Station, this Stockport hotel offers free private parking and an on-site Miller & Carter steakhouse. Manchester International Airport is 8 miles away.
I was there only for a funeral in Dukinfield. I would normally have made use of the swimming pool which looked inviting. If you are visiting Manchester and Hyde is in the right area and you are happy with total self service breakfast then given there is parking available this could be the place for you.

My biggest problem was that there was no coffee available in the am until 9am on a saturday. And you have to buy a full breakfast of £10 to get a cup of coffee! I’ve travelled a lot over 30 years and I’ve never come across a hotel which only serves coffee as part of breakfast. Can I suggest that when Starbucks is closed that a hot thermos of coffee is available in reception as they do in so many hotels across the states. Tea is easier to make in the room but so many travellers these days don’t drink instant coffee.

I stayed on two separate occasions within a 10 day period.
I stayed on two separate occasions within a 10 day period. The first stay was good, nice clean room, wi-fi okay, basic but pleasant enough. There were no instructions to call room service or the desk. Nothing about how to work the tv or if you could get other channels. Breakfast was fine, if a bit boring.
My second stay was in a different room...
dirty sink, t roll holder hanging off the wall, a chair that was much too big for the room and left no space for a bedside table, no full length mirror and a dirty cup.
Not the best stay. Breakfast was the same every day, no vegan options and bland...and no biscuits or mini-bar.
Staff were very pleasant.

The hotel vibe was relaxing.
The hotel vibe was relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was good depending on your purpose, it is 10mins by car from Tameside hospital.
However, the hotel has a lot of facilities (gym, spa), except the important ones: fridge in room, closet, air conditioning for summer.
- Overall the room looked clean except when I opened the toilet cover and found a spot of urine on the seat. When I removed the blanket off the bed, the bedsheet had a hair and some debris pieces here and there.

Hyde like many other market towns of Greater Manchester...
Hyde like many other market towns of Greater Manchester suffers from lack of investment in it's environment and green spaces. Local services have taken a hit due to government spending plans and council's lack of care. The roads are too busy, public transport is lacking and the town centre is dying. The surrounding countryside, which is beautiful is under constant threat of development and crime seems to be on the rise. Litter is abundant and the sense of community pride though present isn't obvious. It has two good restaurants - Pagliaccis' in the centre and The Joshua Bradley on the outskirts. Some good pubs and even a micro-brewery. No cinema, theatre under threat of closure. Library demoted to one small room in an impressive town hall building, while the old library building has been abandoned. Three or four supermarkets vie for supremacy. Most other retail outlets have deserted the town for the better looked-after Ashton-Under-Lyne or Stockport.

DOWNSIDE ; 2 single pushed together doesn't constitute a double. No mini bar available. Poor coffee/tea selection. Noises from banging doors all night. No contact details for managerial staff. Furniture old & in need of replacement considering the room prices. £10 for the breakfast, no choice. Restaurant very very expensive although good quality.
UPSIDE ; Staff are absolutely brilliant. Facilities exceptional.
The rooms were great, comfy beds, staff were friendly and helpful. The breastfast was excellent. Couldn't have wished for a better hotel and better service. If I'm in the area again I will certainly be booking into this hotel.
A massive well done to Ll the staff here for the brilliant running of an excellent hotel.
A beautiful hotel run by excellent staff, who were super friendly and informative when asked about the area and its surroundings. Really clean, WiFi worked really well and the facilities are well maintained. We love it and booked an extra 3 nights stay.
The hotel is in a good location, really near the train station and just outside of the city centre. The town of Hyde is nearby with all the usual facilities. The hotel is large with good parking, a pool and a large dining room.
I stay here once a year when attending training courses, the staff are all really kind. I travel about 200 miles and as a single woman it’s sometimes daunting travelling alone but I really recommend this hotel.
Very friendly, polite, helpful staff, especially in reception. Room was fine, we didn't have hotel breakfast preferring to use in-house Starbucks as this suited our timings. Beds comfortable.
Wanted to use the gym fesility but unfortunately the lady in the gym reception said only if you booked directly with village hotel, not therd party booking.com. not every professional.
