No breakfast. Room very tired and in need of repair. Very shabby. Next to the reception main door, so quite noisy with door banging up until about 1pm from guests coming in and out. Very hot room, no vents. Leak from guttering outside, so when rained lot of leakage rain on windows which made a lot of noise.

Friendly staff. Cheap room. Not modern or fancy, but fine. Shower was either boiling or freezing, mind. But I booked on the day and spent £40ish instead of for a Travelodge.

Great location just off the motorway. Very comfy room with great space and everything I needed, including an iron and ironing board already in the room! Staff were absolutely lovely. Would absolutely stay here again.
I was there only for a funeral in Dukinfield. I would normally have made use of the swimming pool which looked inviting. If you are visiting Manchester and Hyde is in the right area and you are happy with total self service breakfast then given there is parking available this could be the place for you.

My biggest problem was that there was no coffee available in the am until 9am on a saturday. And you have to buy a full breakfast of £10 to get a cup of coffee! I’ve travelled a lot over 30 years and I’ve never come across a hotel which only serves coffee as part of breakfast. Can I suggest that when Starbucks is closed that a hot thermos of coffee is available in reception as they do in so many hotels across the states. Tea is easier to make in the room but so many travellers these days don’t drink instant coffee.

I stayed on two separate occasions within a 10 day period.
I stayed on two separate occasions within a 10 day period. The first stay was good, nice clean room, wi-fi okay, basic but pleasant enough. There were no instructions to call room service or the desk. Nothing about how to work the tv or if you could get other channels. Breakfast was fine, if a bit boring.
My second stay was in a different room...
dirty sink, t roll holder hanging off the wall, a chair that was much too big for the room and left no space for a bedside table, no full length mirror and a dirty cup.
Not the best stay. Breakfast was the same every day, no vegan options and bland...and no biscuits or mini-bar.
Staff were very pleasant.

The hotel vibe was relaxing.
The hotel vibe was relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was good depending on your purpose, it is 10mins by car from Tameside hospital.
However, the hotel has a lot of facilities (gym, spa), except the important ones: fridge in room, closet, air conditioning for summer.
- Overall the room looked clean except when I opened the toilet cover and found a spot of urine on the seat. When I removed the blanket off the bed, the bedsheet had a hair and some debris pieces here and there.

Hyde like many other market towns of Greater Manchester...
Hyde like many other market towns of Greater Manchester suffers from lack of investment in it's environment and green spaces. Local services have taken a hit due to government spending plans and council's lack of care. The roads are too busy, public transport is lacking and the town centre is dying. The surrounding countryside, which is beautiful is under constant threat of development and crime seems to be on the rise. Litter is abundant and the sense of community pride though present isn't obvious. It has two good restaurants - Pagliaccis' in the centre and The Joshua Bradley on the outskirts. Some good pubs and even a micro-brewery. No cinema, theatre under threat of closure. Library demoted to one small room in an impressive town hall building, while the old library building has been abandoned. Three or four supermarkets vie for supremacy. Most other retail outlets have deserted the town for the better looked-after Ashton-Under-Lyne or Stockport.

DOWNSIDE ; 2 single pushed together doesn't constitute a double. No mini bar available. Poor coffee/tea selection. Noises from banging doors all night. No contact details for managerial staff. Furniture old & in need of replacement considering the room prices. £10 for the breakfast, no choice. Restaurant very very expensive although good quality.
UPSIDE ; Staff are absolutely brilliant. Facilities exceptional.
The staff were friendly and helpful at check-in. My travel plans changed twice during the stay and they made changes quickly and without fuss.
The hotel seems to be very much focused around the pool and other such facilities. I just needed a bed for a night or two, so didn't experience those aspects.
In general, it was fine for somewhere to stay, with nothing remarkable standing out for me.
Value for money. Decent breakfast and choice of bar snacks.
5 minutes walk to Hyde railway station and 15 minutes to Flowery Field railway station, if you want to
go into the city centre.
10 minute train ride to Ashburys train station if you are going to the Etihad Stadium.
Plenty of parking spaces but they are not free.
The hotel was welcoming and immaculate. The bed was the comfiest I have ever experienced. Plenty tea, coffee and milk in room. The bar and restaurant area were well presented and welcoming.
The train station less than 5 minutes from the hotel.
The room, breakfast and bed! Massive TV. The staff were great seeing as it was so busy. They helped check on a booking at another Village Hotel in the area for our friends. They were very helpful.
Very friendly, polite, helpful staff, especially in reception. Room was fine, we didn't have hotel breakfast preferring to use in-house Starbucks as this suited our timings. Beds comfortable.
