Love Scarborough so much. My husband and I got married there last year. We make sure we go at least once a year and this year stayed at the south cliff and found a cliff lift we didn't know about so that was a bonus as husband suffers with back pain and finds it hard to walk up hill. But this meant we didn't need to use public transport and taxis.

Scarborough is a beautiful seaside town, it has everything you need to have a relaxed holiday or lots to do for the kids! Peasholm park is a beautiful place with a huge lake and forest trails and a model ship naval battle in the summer! you can see squirrels running around, and loads of different insects! there's an app you can get to search for dinosaurs its great! Or you can spend the day on the beach with the donkeys! take a pirate ship trip around the bay or ride a speedboat! open top buses are every 20 minutes back and forth to the park and sea life centre too.
The town has lots of shops everything you need if self catering too, great bars and restaurants and of course lots of fish and chip shops!

Scarborough has something for everyone.
Scarborough has something for everyone. The north shore where I stayed is quieter but has the castle at one end and the sealife centre at the other. The miniature railway and park are nearby. The beach is clean and dog friendly ( they are not allowed in high season). The south shore has the amusements, more tourists shops and the pier. There are boat tours you can book here too. There are many museums to visit, one ticket to visit them all. If self catering, many small store and supermarkets are around along with the main town centre where you will find a variety of local artisan shops and restaurants as well as more mainstream ones.

Like many seaside towns Scarborough is run down and dirty it...
Like many seaside towns Scarborough is run down and dirty it attracts many people who are looking for seasonal work but often have social problems making for an unpleasant atmosphere in the streets. There is a virtual plague of Seagulls they are everywhere fighting, squawking among themselves dive bombing in the streets aggressively pinching food, bird droppings adorn all the buildings and the streets. It would not harm the birds to move them by not allowing them to nest on buildings. There is not much to do in the town other than eat, drink and play the penny slots. The shopping is very poor. The beach is very nice and the park also. The water park is currently closed. The outdoor theatre does have very good concerts in the summer and would be the only reason to come back. Dog lovers should love the town but it's not for me.

A beautiful little town with so much to offer, we were booked for only 2 nights but we were so lucky because the weather was very good, I went down to the beach at sunrise and it was so calm and relaxing and not cold at all.
There is so much to see and do but just didn't have time, planning on coming back soon.
From the moment we walked through the door we were given a very friendly, warm welcome, offered a hot drink, rooms were clean and comfortable, very spacious. Breakfast was one of the best we have had. We all felt that we had been going there for years, perfect host! So happy with our stay were going back again, we have been going to Scarborough at least 3 times a year for many years and The Gorden is one, if not, the best hotel we have stayed in and we would be reluctant to stay elsewhere. 🥰
The Red Lea is an excellent hotel. It's location makes it an easy walk to Scarborough town centre and to the beach. There is no problem with parking, as there are plenty of on street parking spaces in front of the hotel.
The reception staff are very welcoming and friendly.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable.
Excellent breakfast, with friendly, helpful staff in the dining room.
I would highly recommend and will definitely book again.
I loved the room
It was very comfortable and the Breakfast was the best I have had for a long time
Landlord and landlady were both very friendly
Made you feel at home
Give us a Permit for the car. I have already recommended The Boundary to my family and friends. I shall be using this hotel again when we visit Scarborough. Xx
the lady that served breakfast was really lovely, even tho she was rushed off her feet. the boys at the bar were really helpful when i couldnt close my bedroom window. it was great having the lift in the hotel, even tho it was supposed to take 3 people but you could only get 1 and a case in and im only small.
I came to Scarborough to visit family, I don’t like to impose so usually book a hotel.
Though I enjoyed my stay, I was disappointed the swimming pool was no longer available, also the hotel is a bit dated and could do with an upgrade.
The team at the hotel were excellent and couldn’t do enough for guests.
We love this hotel, this was our 3rd visit and won’t be our last! Stunning views across Scarborough, so peaceful and we stayed in the beautiful apartment’The Great Escape’ and it truly was.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best it could be.
Everything was perfect, so clean and comfortable. Loved the log fire and an added bonus of the Christmas tree. Everything in this cottage has been thought through. The colors are calming, the decor is lovely and I love having 2 toilets. The Scarborough arms has good food and is a 5 min walk.
We had a great stay in Kingsway hotel! Emily and Stewart have been very accommodating. The place was so clean, well organize, and near to some of the tourist spots like Peasholm park. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family who wants to visit Scarborough ❤️
The hotel was a lovely place to stay for a few nights and the rooms had everything you needed. Staff members were friendly and willing to help you out in the best way possible. The location of the hotel was ideal, you had all of Scarborough on your doorstep.
Plenty of space, clean, great location and all the facilities and equipment you could need. Hosts communication was good and access to the apartment was straightforward. Overall good value for money for our overnight stay in Scarborough.
Hotel was really clean, room was perfect! Breakfast was really tasty 😋 staff were friendly & helpful. Was perfect location for our event, The Scarborough Punk Festival! Only 5 mins walk away! A 5 mins walk from the train station too 😁
The location of the hotel was excellent. And within easy walking distance of city centre and both bays. Although limited parking there was ample street parking available at minimal cost. The room was ok although a bit small
Lovely peaceful location, rustic cosy decor and spacious for 2 people. Well equipped kitchen and walk in/wet room shower. Small park nearby to walk the dog. 10 minute drive into Scarborough. Would definitely return.
