Perfect location right at the seafront. Our studio (nr6) had everything you needed. It was nicely furnished and extremely comfortable. There is a kitchen but with so many taverne's to choose from for breakfast, lunch and dinner we did not use it.

Most of the staff is really supportive and friendly. The hotel has a lot to offer - several bars, restaurants, pools (in and outdoor), a spa and a thorough animation program for adults and children alike. The cocktails are great and there are crepes offered at the beach bar which is very nice feature.
Our room was spacious and we had a balcony with sea view (even though we were in the third row).

I like the fact that is is not large and has a nice, laid back atmosphere. There are plenty of good tavernas & restaurants to try with excellent food at very reasonable prices. Our particular favourite was Thalami but there is a good selection and we didn't have time to try many others . There are also beautiful beach bars for drinks and snacks where you can sit and watch the world go by. Not a place to go if you are looking niteclubs.

Almirida is a nice little place on the beach 15km east of Chania and 35 min drive from Chania airport. There are a dozen or so restaurants, almost all by the beach. No big hotels or loud nightclubs which suits a quietish and relaxing stay. Loads of activities and trips accessible for those who want to do more than sit by a pool or on the beach.

A very nice village (maybe a dozen restaurant, about as many shops, some ice cream places, a playground and some nice sandy and relatively flat beaches). Everything in walking distance.. Every two hours connection with modern bus to Chania and nearby Kalives. Sadly no real sidewalk, but very slow traffic.

Nice and clean place. I loved the food from dinner.
Nice and clean place. I loved the food from dinner. The staff was very nice , except Ada from breakfast. Because of her we couldn’t enjoy eating the breakfast on the outside terrace. We had to eat inside where the staff was really nice . Big thanks to Stepanos and Giorgios.

Almirida is a wonderful place to stay for families or couples wanting a quieter resort. It is very picturesque with stunning views across the bay from the surrounding hills. We had delicious food at every restaurant we visited and the people were incredibly friendly and welcoming! We have fallen in love with this place and everything Crete has to offer! A truly special place on earth! We will be back!

Nice place with many tavernas and few shops and a pleasant atmosphere. In time of our visit (July 2023) the beach was not crowded what was fine. The grocery shop in the village was quite expensive. Some bakeries with a fine coffee. The sandy beach was not very big. The perfect place to discover the surrounding (Aptera, Chania, Apokoroni, Kournas lake, etc.)
The house is ideally located just a short stroll to the shops and beaches of Almyrida. It has just been renovated and everything is like new. Lovely very private garden too with trees for shade and a nice setting for breakfast (tasty bakery a few minutes away). Its furnished to a high standard so is very comfortable and the size of the house is perfect for a family. Kitchen is well stocked too and we were very grateful to find food and drink on our arrival late in the evening. Very thoughtful!
I liked Almyrida town a lot! more for locals than touristic, so not filled with shops full of Chinese products. only think I was missing is some weak side for long walks in evening, but it’s still worth it. literally every taverna was a blast, amazing entrance to sea from a nearby beach, lovely view, good breakfasts. our air conditioning was leaking and it was fixed immediately. also it’s located just over the bed so blowing on you all time, at least in our room.
The view is more than beautiful…the sunset is stunning! Everything is spotless and everybody so warm and polite…the sandy beach (Almyrida beach), shops and taverns just a few steps away.
You can also rent a car, a bike or a motorcycle from Almyrida.
By car, Rethymno is 1h 10’ away, Chania 45 mins and Heraklion is 1h 50’ min away (these are max values at the end of july). At the beach, they have paddle boards, kayaks, etc. for renting by the hour or more.
The apartment was easy to find and we were met by the owner. The location is very central with a 7-8 minutes walk to beach and several resturants. Super Markeds and other shops are also close. The apartment has 2 separate bedrooms with air-condition, and all equipment worked perfectly. There were cold water in the refriggerator and local wine on the table. We also received a taste of raki. There are a fantastic view over Almyrida.
We had the most amazing stay at Almyrida Sands. Cécil and Yannis are the best hosts ever. They were so friendly and helpful with anything. The first morning they surprised us with the freshest bread, homemade marmelade and some sweet oranges. The rooms are very beautiful and cozy. We truly loved everything of our stay at Almyrida Sands. If you are coming to Almirida you definitely need to stay here!
This hotel is a hidden gem and we extended our stay because we loved it so much! The facility was brand new with beautiful views and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We had our dinners every night at the hotel because Chef Alex was so talented and every dish he prepared was so delicious. We will highly recommend this hotel to our family and friends for future stays.
Perfect apartment, air con throughout, superb pool, an extensive welcome pack...thankyou so much, when u arrive at 9pm that was so appreciated! Amazing location, just above the beach, great snorkeling amongst the rocks. Lots of excellent tavernas and restaurants, Almyrida is small, but we didn't feel we had to go anywhere else all week! We will be back!
Excellent location in Almyrida, very close to the Beach and right next to the Omega Divers shop. Very useful if you're doing one of the diving courses and you're on the morning schedule.
Katarina is a very amiable host and is happy to solve any problem.
The room was exeptionally clean.
The view from my room was second to none in this area……stunning panoramic views of the whole bay. Swimming pool is top class.
Very spacious area around hotel with lovely gardens. spacious room with balcony. Peaceful and quiet hotel…… ideal for a relaxing holiday.
The overall experience was super!
The apartments, the view, the way Yannis took care of everything needed and beyond during our stay. Excellent!
Thank you Cecile and Yannis. You created with your own hands a beautiful place.
We highly recommend Almyrida Sands.
Fab hotel run by excellent staff. The beds were very comfy . Lots of choice for breakfast only issue were the boiled eggs which always seemed to be rock hard! The pool was a nice size with very comfy sunbeds. The hotel did have a gym but I never used it.
The villa is stunning in the most picturesque location. The facilities were incredible and the welcome pack was a welcome surprise. If we return to Almyrida we would definitely rebook. Pool was fabulous!
The views over the bay from the hotel are exceptional. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. And the breakfast every morning was delicious and varied (we didn’t need lunch most days).
The hotel is very nice, well equipped, greatly located. The rooms are of good sizes and have everything you need. The host Stuart was exceptional, great guy and very attentive to any needs!
A paradise and the best hotel in Almyrida!
Thank you Andonis for making our vacation perfekt :-)
Big hug to you and your family from Kari, Jeanette and Oliver in A3 <3

The apartment is located just 5mins walk from the beach and all the restaurants of Almyrida. Convenient with parking and the hosts are super nice and helping with anything you need
Great views over Almyrida. We were in the 3 bedroom apartment. The hosts were very friendly. The apartment is great value for money and has lots of space for a family.
