We chose this place on the recommendation of a local friend and we weren't disappointed. I wish we could score it 11 out of 10 because it was perfect. The view of the lake was stunning, the location excellent, especially since it was right above a fantastic coffee shop. The attention to detail and all the fittings etc. were superb, a recent refurbishment means that everything was super modern and high quality, hightech TV. We are both vegan and they made an extra effort to produce some delicious breakfast options for us. It really could not have been more perfect.
Located right across from Kastoria Lake, the family-run Katerina Rooms offers air-conditioned units with free Wi-Fi and a balcony. It lies within a short walk from taverns, cafés and shops.

We were given a really friendly welcome and a helpful sheet of recommended places to see and eat. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable! Breakfast next morning was lovely, with homemade cake and pastries and a freshly made omelette. Delicious!

The hotel is offering a very high quality experience in terms of (a) its facilities in-room and in common areas (well thought to the last detail), (b) its location very close to the city of Kastoria but also close to the nature (listening to the the birds chirping around the lake is a valuable experience especially for city folks such us) and last but not least (c) its people who all contributed to our pleasant stay with their friendliness and eagerness to make us feel very comfortable and satisfied from the experience in this excellent hotel.
Situated in the centre of Kastoria Town, this hotel is set in a listed building, restored to its former glory. It sits very close to the Byzantine Museum.

The location of the accommodation was convenient and close to restaurants and cafes. Plenty of free street parking is available nearby. The host, Evi, was very friendly and helpful. We arrived late at night and they waited and gave us a very warm welcome. They also assisted us in finding a suitable and easy parking spot opposite the accommodation, as well as helping us to carry our luggage into the room. Our room was of good size, clean, tidy, modern, quiet and well-facilitated. The bed was very comfortable. We also received welcome drinks (dessert wine) and snack in the room on arrival. The breakfast was lovely, including sandwiches and hot breakfast (bacon, sausage, cheese, ham and different types of eggs), cakes, yogurt, fruits etc. and barista coffee. Evi is a very good barista. On check out, Evi provided us with comprehensive and useful information on attractions and good restaurants in the city. We are very satisfied with this accommodation.

The Byzantine churches are a must see - however they are locked and do not open regularly - apparently the way to visit them is to go to the Byzantine museum and request that someone opens them for you.

Walking around the lake is a must and going to the Palia Poli restaurant as well - it's in the old town near the lake and there wasn't anything we ordered that we didn't love. There are parking spaces near the lake and I would love to visit again.

Nice city that preserves a lot of traditional buildings, espescially in the beighbourhoods Ntoltso and Apozari. The Folklore Museum (Neratzis Aivazis Mansion) and the Tsiatsiapas Mansion are open to the public providing the opportunity to admire the interior of these buildings. Moreover, a visit to the Monastery of Mavriotissa is great also for admiring the nature and the great landscape of the lake. The exploration of the byzantine churches of the city and a visit to the nearby open air museum of Dispilio are also recommended - although the latter is a reconstruction and not the archaological site itself.

What a beautiful place!
What a beautiful place! When we stayed, the Autumn leaves were just appearing and the views across the lake were superb. This is such a beautiful, green and mountainous part of Greece, well worth exploring. Everyone in the town was friendly and welcoming and you get a real sense of what Greece was like before the highest excesses of tourism. It's wonderful just to stroll around the lake and we found some excellent restaurants serving very high quality meals and lots of local recipes and ingredients.

Very cute little town with nice walks by the lake and in the mountains. Everything is in walking distance. Nice and affordable taverns. Many traditional houses in the old part of the town. Will suit better people younger than 60 due to hilly walks. In the town, but the walks by the lake are flat and refreshing.
I enjoyed walking by the lake and up the hill, beautiful views.
This is my favorite location in Kastoria: not overcrowded, flat (no hills) and close to the center. Shops, a big playground and the lake are nearby. We could park with no problem.
The apartment is very clean with nice furniture and plenty of space and storage. Everything was comfortable. I was given clear instructions, it was very easy to access the apartment at any check in time. It would be my pleasure to stay here again some time.
I love Greece. Greek people, the country is amazing. This hotel is proof of that. Wonderful hotel with stunning views of Kastoria. Very responsive, kind people, ready to help. I really wish this hotel to remain Greek, not European. Because it is Greek values and traditions that distinguish you from the rest of Europe. I feel at home in Greece. We had a wonderful time at your magnificent hotel. thanks a lot

The best ever!!!! Congratulations to the hosts they have the best house in Kastoria
I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The location couldn't have been better. It was situated right nearby in the heart of the Kastoria city, surrounded by popular attractions and convenient transportation options. I would love to recommended to my friends!
The worst hotel we have ever been to!! The whole hotel is dark all the time, no lights are turned on, not even at breakfast, the staff is not nice, they don't even look up when the guests come in and out, no one smiles, the feeling is as if you are not welcome.
All the staff were super friendly and went out of their way to make sure you were comfortable and had everything you needed. Rooms are quite spacious, hotel was very clean and comfortable with a great breakfast provided.
Great location, beautiful hotel.
We had a great experience staying 4 days.
The staff was at their best.
Breakfast was delicious and plenty.
Thank you Marianne and Dimitris.
Also the massage therapist was excellent.
The hotel is located a bit outside the city of Kastoria, but offers a nice view of the lake and free parking on-site.

The room was spacious and fully equipped.
Excellent hotel. Staff wonderful. Breakfast a joy Rooms very well appointed, clean and well designed Bed very comfortable. Highly recommended In Kastoria this is the place to staff.
We spent two nights in this traditional and welcoming hotel. It gives you the impression of how an old house has turned into a comfortable hotel. Good service, good breakfast!
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It was nice to have a small breakfast at the hotel. The town of Kastoria is great. Thoroughly enjoyed walking around.
