Wonderful location, especially to Plitvice national park - there is a side road to entrance P3 ferry that you can walk to and not worry about going to entrances 1 or 2, pay for parking etc. This route was not advertised anywhere and the front desk folks told us about it. Good onsite restaurant with free breakfast and other meals (paid). On site mini zoo (they have dogs, rabbits, goats, pony, pigs etc) and play areas would be a kick for families with small kids. Staff were very friendly.

We could not have asked for more. From the moment we booked, there was very clear communication and a warm welcome. Upon arrival, Ante made us feel at home. The rooms are clean and perfectly appointed. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic and they even have sack lunches available for you to take into the park. Location is absolutely perfect for easy entrance to the park away from all the crowds.

Host was lovely and gave us great advice for the park. Beautiful, idyllic spot with the sounds of the river, frogs and not much else. Can easily walk to the park entrance in 15 minutes. Inside super clean. Outside lots of different spots to sit in the woods overlooking the river.

This is a wonderful tranquil place to stay in the Plitvice area. The rooms are lovely and the food is fantastic. But the real highlight of this property is Jasmine, the amazing hostess. Nothing was too much trouble for Jasmine. She helped us plan our days in the park, giving great tips to avoid the crowds. She organized all our food (which was delicious) and also lunch packs for in the park which meant we didn't need to queue at the food outlets. Plitvice Selo is a very peaceful village and you can access the park at entrance 3 nearby and avoid the masses at the main entrance. There are also some amazing views nearby down to the turquoise lower lakes, without even having to enter the park.

It's the best place if you want to walk Plitvice Lakes park, in my case I stayed 3 days because I like walking almost every path 😊. If you're a fast walker you can do the park in just one day but it's better to take your time, that place is dreamy. Plitvica Selo is a tiny location where you can go to the park via entrance #3 where you can avoid loooooong lines waiting.

The location is amazing.
The location is amazing. The lookout at the top of the main park waterfall is a short walk from the premises. The quiet serenity of the area is remarkable. Getting up early for a walk in the misty paths was a true treasure.
The room is truly comfortable and homely with all amenities required. Host Ante is a great cook and also shared ideas and things to do with our upcoming stays in Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik, which helps a lot in especially choosing a restaurant.
I would truly recommend this stay. It is a great location.

Plitvice Selo is just a couple of houses without any shops...
Plitvice Selo is just a couple of houses without any shops but mostly cottages/apartments for rent, but with a few restaurants. It is very close to entrance 3 (15 minutes by foot), so you do not need the car for your stay. From entrance 3 you can either walk or take the boat to the other end (included in the daily pass of the national park - book in advance!). It is a lot less touristic, but this also means you will not find many places to buy food (even inside the park) or eat in, hence a good accommodation which provides this is very helpful.

Plitvica selo is a small village right next to the P3 entrance of the Plitvice lakes. It is a quite village in nature without any stores. There are only a few places you can eat or have a drink within walking distance. For more choices you need a car. It maybe difficult to be in Plitvica selo without a car. Great place for outdoor activities such as walking, hiking and biking.

This small village was originally a dairy farming community...
This small village was originally a dairy farming community tucked away in a small glen among the mountains of Plitvice National Park. A few miles off the main highway, it is accessed by a lightly trafficked country road with occasional breathtaking views of the canyon below and the river flowing out of the Plitvice Lakes. The inns, in keeping with UNESCO rules, are the original historic farm buildings, which have been renovated on the interior. The inns are within walking distance of a lesser known and lightly used third entrance to the park, from which one can begin exploring this beautiful National Park.

Beautiful place in the heart of the beautiful lakes.
Beautiful place in the heart of the beautiful lakes. We stayed here while it was raining which did not stop us from enjoying beautiful sceneries and nature overall. We bought raincoats for decent price easily. Definitely coming back for nicer weather. Place is the heaven.
Milica who was our contact at the property was very helpful and obliging in the lead-up to us arriving and then in helping organise a breakfast-to-go for the morning we wished to enter the National Park early. The breakfast and dinners were fine for a small clientele. The rooms were clean and in quaint chalets. We loved that there was a walk that you could do to lookouts from the accomodation without having to enter the park but also that we could walk to an unofficial entrance to Plitvice Lakes National Park easily from the hotel.
Our host Marko, was gracious and had a lot of information about the park. He offered us a glass of wine and helped us plan our visit to the park.
The apartment we had was very comfortable. I slept so well in the bed mostly due to the very comfortable comforters. Also the shower was the BEST we had in our entire trip in Croatia this includes staying at the Hotel Excelsior in Dubrovnik. It had great water pressure!
Area is very quiet and it was nice to be in the country.
Plitvice lakes is absolutely magnificent.
We visited Plitvice lakes as a part of our honeymoon trip and stayed at the Creek for 2 nights. We arrived quite late and were warmly welcomed by hosts. It is a family run place and it really feels like home!
The location is great for those visiting the national park, it is only a short 10 min walk to one of the entrances, but your tickets online in advance!
The hotel is cost, clean and there is everything you need in the room.
Thank you to the hosts for our lovely stay!
Would highly recommend this place
Beautiful and serene. Staff incredibly friendly. Got there in the evening after a long day of adventure and travel, and was so excited to find that they had beer and wine for sale. Decent dinner at another B&B was a quick walk away. Walking distance to entrance 3 which takes you directly to the boat. I had read that entrance 3 was an illegal entrance. However, there was a ranger they’re scanning tickets and we had no problem walking in. Would 100% stay here over the park hotels
Nena makes a nice breakfast like yogurt, prosciutto, cheese, bread, marmalade and eggs. The house is near the overlooks of the canyon and is walking distance to the Flora entrance of Plitvice. As long as you have a prepurchased ticket from entrance 1 (or 2?) you can enter the park there. Easy as that. You enter and head to P3, which is the boat across Kozjac lake. Continue with the rest of Route C until you are back at P3 to walk home to Nena’s
The chalet looks amazing. It is placed directly in the middle of National Park. This means you don't need to drive anywhere with the car and you can enter the park nearby. Hosts were AMAZING. Very kind, polite, always smiling. Our room was very spacious and well equipped. Parking is free of charge and right in front of the chalet. Internet is also very good. I would recommend this to anyone and next time will come back again.
The location of this comfortable hotel is pretty distant from the main road, but this makes it so charming!
Specially I’d like to tell about the friendly and welcoming service. The hostess is attentive and gave us really useful recommendations about visiting the lakes. She won our hearts by her care of us as guests. The breakfast is filling and tasty.
I highly recommend this place to stay.
This place is a GEM & I would highly recommend if you are visiting Plitvice Lakes. It’s within short walking distance of entrance P3. As there are no restaurants nearby, you can get dinner & breakfast at the hotel, which are delicious. We especially loved the cherry port that started each dinner meal! The owners of the hotel are so helpful & welcoming! We would definitely come back here.
The lodge is in a great location away from the main tourist areas yet only five minute walk from the park entrance. The host and staff were extremely friendly and helpful with a family atmosphere. Dinner was fabulous and we sat outside by the fire. Other restaurants and hotels are close by if you wanted to visit. Hot showers and comfy bed. Would recommend this lodge!
What an incredible location, hidden away near an unlisted 3rd entrance to Plitvice Lakes. This is a family run lodge and when you are hear, you are treated like a favorite family member. There is incredible, local cuisine available for dinner & breakfast with an extra charge. Well worth the extra cost! The AC worked super well and the bed was very comfortable!
Perfect location in Plitvica Selo close to the P3 entrance to the park. We received great advice and tips from Leo that made all the difference to our experience (thank you!). Delicious food and home made drinks served by Ante. Such welcoming and friendly hosts that made us feel so looked after. We would definitely choose it again next time.
Amazing location near the park - we were able to walk in in the morning easily without moving our car. Breakfast was free and delicious, and our room was one of the most beautiful we've ever stayed in, for a very good price. I got a massage which was also wonderful!
Absolutely fantastic hotel. Stayed in lodge which was super clean and staff were super friendly! When you go to reception, you will see “no card payment, only cash” but you can actually pay by card as staff calls to the office where payment is processed!
Great location on the doorstep of the wonderful Plitvice Lakes National Park. The owner was really friendly, going out of his way to help book us a restaurant at a nearby hotel after we arrived late. Would definitely recommend!
The location of the hotel is excellent. It only takes a 5 minutes walk to enter the National Park (if you have bought tickets upfront, as you cannot buy tickets at entrance 3), without waiting. Rooms were ok.
Stunning location. Peaceful. Setup in a way you feeling your visiting an old friend as opposed to a hotel. Yet had all the amenities of a hotel. And the food is amazing!
