Dawn is a great host, as there are no downstairs bedrooms, Dawn carried our suitcases up to our bedroom. The room was at the front of the house, nice size overlooking the garden
Breakfast was great, loved the berry compote, great selection for a cooked breakfast.

Fabulous setting and the food was fantastic!!! The hosts and staff were so extremely friendly and helpful and it was just a 10 minute taxi ride from Shannon airport making it very convenient for our flight out. They even gave us some carrots to feed to their shetland ponies and babies.

The room was very nice. We had a room with a lovely comfortable king sized bed, a makeup table and a private bathroom. My college aged kids shared a room with a double bed, a table and small sofa and a fridge and makeup table. Their room also had a private bath. Breakfast the next morning was hearty with a choice of toast, bread pudding, yogurt, fruit, an Irish breakfast, coffee, tea, juice and cereal to name a few.

Airport is so efficient and staff are professional .Security is done so efficiently, a really painless experience and so much better that other airports. The local road system is a joy and well signposted. Our stay at Oakwood hotel was just lovely and staff were really great, always available and ultra helpful. The hotel was peaceful, comfortable and food of excellent quality.

We flew in to Shannon from London & used it as jumping off point to other areas in & south of Shannon. Convenient location. People we encountered were very friendly there, & really everywhere we went over our 4 days on the island.

We very much enjoyed are stay in are accommodation near Shannon Airport, we wasn't expecting it to be so lovely at Carrygerry Country House Hotel. It only took 12 minutes to drive to it from the airport and nicely welcomed at the door by Gillian and shown to are room. Shannon airport, easy to park, easy to get too by car.

We were flying out of Shannon Airport so travelled up from Cork and stayed overnight at Treacys Oakwood Hotel, beautiful hotel with beautiful staff, I cannot fault it at all, we left out cars at the hotel and got a taxi to the airport.. talk about comfort!!. Shannon Airport was our point of entry and departure from Ireland. We stayed only on the night before departure. There is little to do in this town, but we found lovely accommodations to stay close to the airport the night before our flight home at the CarryGary country house. There is a foot step guide showing you how to walk from their front door (where there are usually free luggage carts for you to use) to the arrivals/departures at the airport. They have a great bar/restaurant that serves food late. The rooms are spacious and the rain shower bathroom shower has great pressure. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. They had a complimentary breakfast available for red eye flights from 4 am. Fruit, coffee, sweet pastries. The coffee didn't appeal to me before dawn so I pinched an apple to go. Which I ate at London Heathrow. You will not beat the price of this hotel and the location..a two minute walk to the terminal at Shannon. For me, I checked out of the hotel and checked in the suitcase for my flight in fifteen minutes flat.
