Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town.
Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town. Decent beaches, both free and paid. A good starting point for hydrofoil travel to Ponza Island. From here there are hydrofoils that will take you there in an hour and a half. Other places only use regular cruise ships, but they offer a four-hour journey. There are many good restaurants with local fresh fish and seafood as well as local wines. A place worth staying for shorter and longer periods.

Pleasant surprise!
Pleasant surprise! We learnt that the beaches around Anzio are popular among people from the Rome region, so there are mostly local people. Long, very nice beach with clean water, shallow sea and fine sand.AlesCzech Republic - 10Scored 10

if you want to stay near Rome and have the benefit of a cooler summer atmosphere and a beach holiday this it , far better than staying Ostia or Fiumicino. frequent trains air conditioned and an hours journey rome for targeted visiting.

You can reach the center of town and the harbor in less than 10mn walk. This is a very typical Italian house and it feels like proper holidays in Italy; I loved it! The owner is very nice and kind, ready to help and give you tips to where to visit and go. The place is very clean and also quiet. Barely not heard anyone. There is also a little garden outside if you want to sit and relax. I would definitely recommend it !MarineFrance

Walking distance from train station and the picturesque cities Anzio and Nettuno and the beaches. Our host Cornelia picked us up from the station and gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home during our whole stay. Very attentive and nice service staff serving breakfast on sun terrace or in the cosy living room. Clean and lovely decorated rooms, comfortable beds. All in all a very good experience

No dirty carpet like other hotels I've stayed at, rather it was tile. In fact the bathroom was done in marble tile! The view of the beach and the Tyrrhenian sea from the balcony was stunning. The staff was great. They were there to clean the room first thing each morning after you left your room. Security was also very good. The outside door was always locked and you had a key to come and go.

The train station is very close so it is easy to go to Rome which is quite close. I want to admit that there is no loud noise from the trains. The view is marvelous, the air is fresh. There are shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants not far from the house. The beach is also 10 minutes from the apartment. The Host is very nice and friendly and always ready to help.

I got a room on the fourth floor with a view of the sea and the beach with a small balcony. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Modern room with a good bed and a desk I could work from. There is not good sound insulation between the rooms, which became clear when I had neighbors with two small children who screamed a lot both at night and during the day. We had all the facilities, hotel on the beach as we couldn't go far away with the baby. Clean! Everyday cleaning was perfectly done. Having a kitchen to store our food was helpful. Leo and Magdalena were very friendly and helpful We needed a our fender fixed and Leo found us a shop that helped us in an amazing way.
