Beautiful old villa with all the charm of a bygone era. Loved the family of horses roaming free in the grounds who came to welcome us. Great pool and fantastic food. Great value 👍

The host was helpful and flexible about the time of our arrival. The location is good, you can park the car for free near the apartment. The room was nice with a small balcony.
Located opposite the Baroque Church of San Francesco d’Assisi, Gualtiero Camere & Suite is in Caltagirone’s historical centre.

We were met by Giuseppe and shown to our room. It was large and airy with a view across to a church. We thought it was very nicely decorated and had an homely feel. Breakfast was good. The location was very good with parking at the front. We would recommend a stay here.

The most beautiful city of Sicily mainly thanks to the ubiquitous ceramics in public spaces, balconies, ceramic workshops and shops. We recommend the restaurant Floriano, where we had a very good meal in a pleasant environment and at a reasonable price.

Caltagirone is a nice city, having friendly people around and very helpful.
Lots of restaurants offering good food with moderate prices.
A city rich in history, offering beautiful views from its highest points.
Also it offers a roads connection to other cities like Catania on one side and Gela on the other.

The city is full of wonderful ceramic shops.
The city is full of wonderful ceramic shops. Once you find a spot to park, and it is free to park in the town, it is very walkable, although very hilly. If the weather turns bad, the town actually disappears into the fog. We found some wonderful ceramics here. I would have liked to have had a longer time to more fully explore the town.

Caltagirone is s must for ceramic lovers from all nations.
Caltagirone is s must for ceramic lovers from all nations. Master artists create stunning individual works of art, many taking more than a week to decorate in bright Majolica. The town was rebuilt in Baroque style, after the town was destroyed by a 17th century earthquake. The ceramics museum, situated in an old theatre, is undergoing renovations, and needs it. However, it displays a phenomenal wealth of Caltagirone ceramics through the ages. Pots from the 18th and 19th centuries seem to predominate, along with Greek from 500 BC. Despite being run down, the museum is well worth a visit (€4). The civic museum is situated in a beautifully renovated old courthouse and jail which is worth visiting for the building alone, never kind the superb artworks, various judicial uniforms, religious bits and, of course, some ceramics. Everything is an easy walk away and its a lovely, busy proper little town... Accessible by bus from Palermo (3.5 hrs), or Catania (1.5 hrs). Just in case you're in any doubt, I loved Caltagirone!
Stylish room in the very hearth of the city, literally a few steps away from the iconic stairs of Caltagirone🤌🏻The host lady was very kind, she warmly welcomed us, we felt like home and she didn’t mind us leaving a little bit later after the official check out time.
Else, property has its own rooftop terrace with stunning views all around the city!
For those arriving by car, we would recommend parking it on the nearby square, right behind the building👌🏼.
When you come to this place, you get not only an accommodation (clean and charming room, as well as spacious, comfortable bathroom) close to the historic center of Caltagirone. You also get extraordinary hospitality and care of a helpful owner. In this place you can feel the magic of southern Italy. There is also a park nearby where you can find solace during a hot day. But naturally in Casa Silvia you have air conditioning and other convenience.
Getting to Caltagirone was a wonderful surprise, as the town is a jewel. But it was equally wonderful to stay at this place: Tina, the hostess, is a fantastic lady and received us very warmly. She made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment was immaculately clean, it is spacious and offers a great stay in the center of town. For sure a place I would stay again! Highly recommended!
First, it was genuinely nice that the host met us at the big square with a clear address. So, we found it easily, and from there we followed her car to the parking place that would be rather difficult to find alone. In the apartment we found everything that we needed plus the beauty of everything that surrounded us. Caltagirone is a lovely town and we enjoyed staying there,
location location location. Apartment is just on the bottom of famous stairs. Apartment was amazingly big and we had the best bathroom ever with walk in. It is very comfy and there is no problem contacting with owner. Even he help us to park the car properly. Design of the room was very modern and nice. It is definetly good place to stay in caltagirone.
The apartment seemed brand new. Remodeled with everything a couple or family will need. All modern appliances, kitchen and bathrooms. Within a block of the old town center and many historical sites. Breakfast was amazing! Sicilian pastries, fresh fruit, cold cuts, and the best cannoli in Sicily. Our host was fantastic!
Very Nice, clean and comfortable cottage, all new.
Situated in wineyards, very calm but 15 minutes by car to Caltagirone.
Veronica and Francesco are very nice people. Gave us tipps and vegetable from the garden 😬Their vinery is 1 Minute away, we had a great winetasting with good wine and local food.
100% recommended
Location is everything and the view from the Juliette Balcony was stupendous. Right in the heart of Caltagirone on the main street. The hostess is very nice and directed us by cell where to park our car for free. She even met us at our car and walked over to the hotel together. I would stay here again.
Host met us location nearby and came with us to show us the house.
Located in quiet area of Caltagirone surrounded by fields and a Valley at the back.
House has all the necessary commodities one could imagine making it ideal for a family holiday
Host was very helpful throughout our stay.
The property was spacious enough and offered good private parking. Clean and very well kept. Signor Luigi took the time to give us a city Tour of Caltagirone including also visits to Churches. A city rich in history.
Shall be back to this family residence. THANK YOU !!
My wife and I shared a lovely large house with 4 other ensuite bedrooms just a 3-minute drive from the centre of Caltagirone, in a quiet neighborhood with spectacular views of the surrounding hills. We shared a large kitchen with the other rooms.
Centrally located in the historic centre with free parking a 10 min walk away. (Very safe.) These were the best breakfasts in all of Sicily! (I stayed at about 10 different B&Bs and had 28 breakfasts in Sicily).
Perfect place to relax and enjoy Caltagirone. Beautiful interiors and amazing terrace with jacuzzi and a splenid view of the historic centre. I loved every bit of it, especially great tips from the owner!
The hosts were very friendly, informative and provided all we needed. The dinner provided was the best we have had while travelling in Italy. Genuine Sicilian food prepared by the owners.
Very nice old traditional house. The host is waiting for us and meet in front of the house. He is a very polite and positive person. We have good stay in Caltagirone. Gracia Giacomo!
Good location right at ceramic staircase. Very modern, nicely decorated. I was contacted prior to arrival to arrange check in. Caltagirone is a lovely town
Great location and very welcoming owner. The room and bathroom were huge. There's a free parking less than a minute walk from the hotel. Highly recommend!
