B&B Trullo Barbagiullo, hotel in Cisternino

Located 36 km from Taranto Cathedral, B&B Trullo Barbagiullo features a seasonal outdoor pool, free WiFi, and free private parking for guests who drive.

We had a beautiful 'Trullo' experience at Barbaguillo. It was a really authentic experience and we got a real sense of how it would have been 'back in the day'. The property has a beautiful swimming pool with lots of sun beds and chairs etc and beautiful gardens. There are two friendly cats, goats and two parrots! The property is situated in one of the most beautiful countryside areas of Puglia but is only 5/10 minutes to Cisternino town. Our host, Enza served us one of the most delicious breakfasts of our holiday, prepared with great care, attention and thougthfulness. Thank you so much Enza for our lovely stay at Barbagiullo - we hope to return. Liz & Michael, Ireland

Cisternino is a beautiful town with friendly people.

Cisternino is a beautiful town with friendly people. My Italian is bad but I never had any problems being understood and everyone was very helpful. Go to a place once and they will remember you and your preferences. The food is delicious and plentiful. The town is clean and safe. One of the really nice things is you can go to the edge of town and farms and vineyards are a short walk. Have a drink or coffee in one of the cafes near the edge of town and enjoy the view.

Cisternino quite rightly is one of the most beautiful town of Italy. We so enjoyed meandering the warrens of beautiful cobbled streets surrounded by immaculate white buildings adorned with an assortment of vividly coloured flowers. The people were so friendly and food and general vibe was fantastic. A truly lovely place to stay and explore Puglia! Less touristy and packed than the neighbouring towns. We will be recommending to everyone we know .

    The town is lovely.

The town is lovely. Try to visit the weekly local farmers market (fruit, veg, olives, nuts, plants, cheese and more). There is one Monday mornings. Ask a local to direct you. There is a great bakery in town called Al Vecchio Forno on the Piazza Mazzini. This is a nice area to walk around at night and it's full of restaurants. A Pté nearby is a cute grocery to get cheese, meat etc. Please buy stuff here and support the local farmers. 😀👍 The town is very scenic, so visit anytime of day for good photo ops and views. For a good cup of coffee and the best pastries, go to a very popular spot called Almond just outside of town. It's not too difficult to find street parking here, and it has a nice outdoor seating area. Don't miss the creme filled Pasticciotto and Tette Delle Monache. Top! There's so much more to tell about Cisternino, but it's up to you to discover it yourselves 👍 Best to visit spring and autumn!

The Trullo Cime Bianche is just between Cisternino and Martina Franca. Arounded by a wonderful nature with many trulli still in fonction, two towns with an originally centre, ectraordinary olive trees on the way to the coast, with many different beaches. The region did keep a good rural feeling near to nature also the people. You find fantastic originally food. The host was extraordinary helpfull, charmimg and offering all you could find to eat in the garden. Quiet near are many cultural interesting lokations.

Lovely area for the traveller that likes access to several town and city centres with historic quarters. Cisternino itself is one of the nicest hilltop towns albeit relatively small. As a holiday location it provides easy access to many other centres, usually with a short drive. Other key locations like Matera can also be visited within a day trip.

There is a large market in town on Mondays. Bakery's and Bar's had freshly baked croissants. Fruit vendors had delicious items. A historic town that's lovely to walk at night. Very lively!

The house was very spacious for the two of us and equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. There was no air conditioning, neither we missed it as the rooms are large and well ventilated, in an old building with thick walls and great thermal insulation from the scorching heat outside. Anyway, a fan is provided. The location is absolutely fantastic, very close to Cisternino historic centre, but away from the lively night 'movida'.

Casa di Alice is a modern apartment in a quiet alley (apart from an excellent meat restaurant below which can be a little noisy midday over the weekend) The apartment is tech savvy in every way. Basic amenities are provided and it is tastefully appointed. The hosts are also wonderful, helpfully, accommodating and obliging. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, it’s the go to place if you’re visiting Cisternino. Highly recommend.

Borgo Altobello is such a hidden gem in the lovely countryside of Puglia. Everything is just perfect about the place. The location is great, ideal for a retreat and not far from lovely Italian villages. The property is stunning and done up with such great taste. Sara and her family are so helpful and they made sure we had everything we needed to spend the perfect holidays. We had such a wonderful time, grazie mile.

The breakfast was the most delicious breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. So many things were home made. The eggs were fresh from the chickens in the garden. The family was so welcoming and the property was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Highly recommended. Great for small children - little playground, garden to run around, gated pool, small bikes and scooters. Everything you could need!

Beautiful and very comfortable trullo. Despite the warm weather, the inside of the trullo is pleasantly cool. The garden around the trullo is very well maintained. The owners are very friendly and hospitable. We had the best holidays in last years. Not far from the trullo there are many beautiful places to visit: Cisternino, Locorotondo, Alberobello, Martina Franca, Ostuni and lots more.

Our stay at Antica aia was fabulous. The facilities are spacious and the trullo room was unique and quite beautiful. Our hosts, Francesco and Elvira, were very pleasant and attentive to our needs. The location was central to our day trips to Cisternino, Locorotondo, Ustuni, the Castellana Grotte and Martina Franca.

One of the better crafted trulli homes we have stayed in so far during our time in Puglia. Comfortable beds, good water pressure in the shower and very clean. Strong wifi connection . The rental is situated down an alleyway so it is very private and quiet. It's walking distance to the historical center of town.

Location close to Cisternino and other scenic nearby towns (Locorotondo, Ostuni, Alberobello etc.) is great .... just battled with data dropping along the little back country roads and therefore losing Google Maps, and our way! But that is no fault of the establishment.

It was Trulli an escape, we loved our rooms, the staff, the restaurant was the best dinner we had in Puglia. Cisternino is a less touristy town and every bit as wonderful as the others. Highly recommend staying during your Puglia visit.
