There are very good restaurants and pubs in Breda, friendly people everywhere. Nothing and nobody disturbs you ever! We visited close friends, so it was a holiday trip but not for sight- seeing. Breda itself has not much to offer, it is a mid-size town with a pedestrian zone in the center but no real highlights. Apart from the usual shops there are some nice restaurants and bars, but you have to know them. It has a very small cozy city center but, depending on what you like, it has enough entertainment. I took the tour in the cathedral and went up to the tower. Walked around the city center, went to the park, stond on the "Hoge Brug"... You can visit the begijnenhof and go to a couple of more museums. This hotel was the most pleasant surprise - it was gorgeous! The bed was also huge and super comfy and inviting. There was also a huge tub that I would have used it it wasn’t so warm out (and we were busy in the cute town of Breda). I cannot wait to come back to this hotel and relax in the gorgeous environment. I wish I took more pictures!

Hotel Van Ham is perfectly located on a cosy square with several good restaurants and the delicious bakery Van Thillo is just around the corner. The room was comfortable and had a nice view on the Grote Kerk (large church) of Breda. The staff was very friendly and my friend told me that the breakfast was delicious.
