The location is nice, quiet most of the time. Saw a deer early in the morning! Good television and internet. Nice and warm inside. Great view of the stars on a clear night.

Breakfast was nice however there were no gluten free options, which would have been good.
The staff were super helpful and friendly too, which made a big difference as English speaking tourists.
We loved the island and especially riding on the bikes. Perhaps it would be a good idea to build the bike hire into the Accomodation package, because renting the bikes daily is expensive.

Sahdhamn is a beautiful island at the edge of the archipelago, so please note it can get a bit windy since there are very few islands protecting it from the sea. There are trails criss-crossing the island, so it’s easy to hike around and since it’s not very big there is no risk for getting lost.
During the winter most restaurants and shops are closed, but Sandhamn Seglarhotell is open and they have delicious food.
The island is transformed during the summer months with lots of people, party and a much wider range of restaurants to choose from. So, depending on what you are after, choose the season to visit Sandhamn carefully. ;-)
