A very charming little hotel with very friendly and cheerful staff. Even though objectively some things in the interior could be modernized, it gives a very charming and retro feeling to it all - and of course everything works!
It is next to the station and about a 7 minute walk to the historic centre with all the important museumsnand mosaics. Personally, the town's traffic is a bit confusing, but since Hotel Ravenna is close to the station it's very easy to reach by car without all the confusion - and there's available parking spots in front of the hotel which are covered by cameras.
In short: This hotel has the soul of this beautiful ancient little city and for this low price you won't find anything better and closer to the centre.

A Walker's Paradise Filled with Charming Surprises
Once a capital of the Western Roman Empire, Ravenna is a walker’s paradise and is home to several historical landmarks, magnificent mosaics, great fashion outlets, and charming streets lined with cafés, restaurants and bars.
Piazza del Popolo is considered the heart of Ravenna and was historically the civil and administrative centre of the city. It features the 15th-century Palazzetto Veneziano, the 17th-century Palazzo Comunale, and the 18th-century clock tower.
The most popular landmarks in the city are San Vitale, Mausoleo di Galla Placida, Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo and Dante Alighieri’s Tomb, whilst the Cervia Thermal Baths and Mirabilandia theme park are great options for a day trip.
After a day of discovery and sightseeing, be sure to head towards the coast for a revitalising swim or relaxing sun bathe at one of the several beaches scattered along the coastline of the Adriatic Sea.
Ravenna Station offers direct routes to Bologna and Rimini. Booking.com offers a range of accommodation options in Ravenna, Cervia, Milano Marittima and throughout the Emilia-Romagna Region.
Ravenna is a quiet and charming town. I enjoyed visiting the mosaics and sitting in a cafe frequented by many local people. I felt like I got a more authentic view of life in Italy than in Rome or Florence. It was a relaxed visit.

We were on a one night stay to take a cruise and had we known how charming, clean, safe and lovely Ravenna is, we’d have planned for a few more days there rather than Venice. The food was delicious and the wine 🍷

The old town where the many restaurants and shops reside is 5 or 10 minutes walk from the train station. The Maison 26 family owned hotel was outstanding. The old town is very walkable and beautiful. Cabs are scarce so book ahead if wanting transportation to cruise ship.

Ravenna was better than I expected.
Ravenna was better than I expected. We arrived by cruise ship and instead of rushing off to another city (Venice or Bologna) we chose to spend one night in Ravenna. Accomodations were near the train station and the historic churches and sites. Ravenna has beautiful mosaics in several locations and a well organized tour pass system that is easy to access.

Wonderful place! It was so very pretty and historic. The city allows you to visit the museum of Alighieri Dante, one of the most important poet in Italy's culture. Also you can visit the Dante Alighieri's tomb. The city have a lot of bar to drink, seat and listen music, restaurants to eat the excellent and traditional italian food (for example piadina).

Ravenna is a beautiful place to visit.
Ravenna is a beautiful place to visit. It's easy to get around the town center and there are a lot of places to eat--across all price ranges.
So many beautiful mosaics. It's worth taking a tour for these. We did a guided tour with Silvia Giogoli at guidaravenna.com and it was worth the cost. She is so knowledgable about the history of the city and the mosaics in particular. Really gives you a better appreciation of the art.
If they block the guide's name and website, it was the guided walking tour offered via the booking site called Mosaic Tiles Guided Tour.
Central location right around the corner from main square; hotel provided access thru a pedestrian zone and also free parking on the street right outside the front door. The whole place has been recently renovated and was totally clean.
Breakfast was good, service excellent, host allowed us t leave our luggage inside the office area while we toured Ravenna before leaving in the following afternoon. Ravenna is a great walking town, with an extensive pedestrian only zone; Prosperous, well-organized.
The hotel was really adorable and the room was well-equipped with modern amenities yet still held the old world charm of the building. Michael and his receptionist couldn't have been more friendly! The location was fantastic and very close to a number of restaurants, shops, gelato, a laundromat, and public transportation. The breakfast was tasty as well. We'd happily stay at this little gem again any time while in Ravenna!
Santa Maria Foris was wonderful to stay at! They did a wonderful job of providing self check-in instructions and they were extremely attentive throughout our stay. The front desk was great in helping us coordinate a cab and providing recommendations around the city. The location is amazing - you are in walking distance to the best sites and restaurants around Ravenna! Highly recommend!
The room was clean, big, beautifull antic decorated and close the center.
The breakfast was rich, but you should come earlier in the dinning room.
The stuff was very helpfull and fast responded to our needs.
Even you cant park in front of the hotel, they provide pakiing for 2 eur in sorrunding.
I recommend you for familly or couple who come to enjoy the beauty of Ravenna.
What a lovely hotel, such a nice building. Right next to the Basilica, a very interesting structure to look around. Hotel is clean, staff lovely, the restaurant is great. I had the best pizza I've ever had, and given that I live in Italy that is praise indeed. I would have expected this hotel to cost more, great value.
I recently stayed at Palazzo Bezzi Ravenna Hotel and had the best breakfast I've ever seen! The service was polite and the prices were good. The personnel were top notch, very helpful and serviceable. They even provided me with a very early to go package with breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel!
We changed our plans 1 day before our trip from Lago di Como to Ravenna and it was the best choice ever. Villa Noctis was amazing. Great staff, amazing service and perfect location. You are at the center of the city and only 20 minutes away from the beach. Definitely a big recommendation!
Spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Fun bookcase wallpaper! Portable air conditioner / fan worked great! Breakfast was delicious and ample. Hosts were wonderful and welcoming! The location was near the historic tour area of Ravenna, plenty of wonderful restaurants nearby.
I wanted a place a little out of the center of Ravenna, and was so happy with this apartment. Nicest place I stayed in a month in Italy. Beautifully designed apartment, very roomy. The host was responsive, helpful and reasonable. Exceeded my expectations, and we stayed an extra day.
Locate at the beginnig of the old city centre , easy to reach from the FS Ravenna, friendly staff and super clean .
The interior of the Hotel is breathtakingly beautiful . Walking through some spaces it feels like visiting a historical museum !
Far above any expectation !
the hotel is located very close to the train track but you don’t hear them. it is close to everything you need for a visit to Ravenna. we stayed here for 6 days and were treated like family! the hotel is older but full of charm and very clean! I would stay here again! 😊
We felt like "royalty" at the palace!!! The elegant hotel was spectacular in all ways: lobby, desk personnel, parking lot, location in Ravenna, outstanding breakfast, and cozy room. The available literature was helpful. The book accompanying the room was enjoyable!
It is a very nice room for one person. Clean, quiet and the familie is very lovely and helpfull as wel!! I hope I can turn back soon to Italy and I am sure I would like to book a room in B&B A Casa🙂 Thank you so much for everything dear B&B A Casa family
The location is just perfect – very close to the train station and to the main square, walking distance to all the major sites. The room was large and very clean. The breakfast was also good. I would stay here again if I came back to Ravenna.
Magnificent building with unique, historic features, a warm welcome, and a kind, thorough, thoughtful orientation to Ravenna. Great breakfast. The loveliest place we have stayed during our many travels to Italy.
We were very surprised by Ravenna and thrilled with the Palazzo Bessi hotel. The staff was excellent, very helpful, and willing to assist with all of our needs. The hotel was quiet and very clean.
The staff is very helpful and cooperative and kind. The breakfast includes a wide variety on Continental options but not eggs and bacon since we are in Italy and you may find pizza
