Our stay at Palazzo Samà was the pleasant surprise - as far as hosteling is concerned - of a 7 day trip to Southern Italy. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean. It had a refrigerator and a very comfortable bed as well as air conditioning. The bathroom is also very clean and beautiful. The value for money is excellent. The staff responded to all our requests. The price also includes a super breakfast. Finaly, there is free private parking. Perfect spot for exploring Calabria. Well done guys, 10/10 of us.

I’ve been a couple of times in Reggio Calabria, but this is the best accomodation I’ve ever stayed so far. The owners are very kind and generous, the room was perfectly clean and they also cleaned it and changed the towels during my 5 day visit. It’s near to the centre and easy to access all the famous points of Reggio. It is also very easy to find parking space. There’s a nice view from the rooftop to the whole city, Sicilia and the sea. Breakfast was excellent, it felt like I’ve been in a 4* Hotel.

Scilla was the highlight of our Italy-trip! We truly enjoyed to stay in the beautiful place of Piana della galee. The view is fantastic, close to the water so you will hear the waves. Silvana and her family are such kind and caring hosts! We were lucky to have dinner at De Angelis, (which was delicate) but the apartment also has a very well equipped kitchen with everything you need to make dinner. We are already thinking about when we could go back to Calabria and this beautiful place in Scilla!

This place is a hidden gem. We are so glad that we had the pleasure in experiencing everything this had to offer. The restoration in this place was to perfection. Giacomo was very helpful and friendly and recommended a few places to dine at. We had the best dinner in Italy called Calabria Bella. The food was to die for and we ate the most amazing cheesecake we’ve ever had .. Michela prepared the most beautiful fresh breakfast, the best way to start the day. We will go back in heart beat.

Calabria itself is an amazing part of Italy, Lamezzia and close places - Tropea, Pizzo are beautiful. The Pasquale´s appartment (nice, calm, clean and very well equipped) is quite close (cca 20min by walk) to the beach and train station. The host Pasquale is very kind and helpful, he took us to fantastic places and helped with everything it was needed, gave a lot of information also to get to know this wonderful specific italian region closely. Thank you :-)

location was excellent. Easy street parking just outside the apartment door. And it was just a short walk to the Archaeological museum in Reggio di Calabria. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had access to the kitchen and the outside terrace where we were able to do much needed laundry. The hose Sylvia was very helpful and gave great recommendations for things to do and where to eat. Too bad we only needed to stay the one night.

Pietro is such a lovely host—very kind and polite. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The Wifi was probably the fastest we’ve had from a hotel/B&B in Italy. Breakfast was amazing: beautifully presented on a cart brought to our room. I really enjoyed Tropea. The old town and beach are only a short walk away from the B&B. I wish we had more time in Calabria! Thank you, Pietro, for the wonderful stay.

It’s a spacious 1st-floor apartment with small balcony in San Lucido’s atmospheric old town, two streets away from the panoramica. Location is ideal with restaurants, cafes, bars, mini-supermarkets all within 2-5mins walk. Beach is 10mins via staircase. Apartment itself is very well-equipped and Armando the friendly host is always available. Very competitive price for an extended stay in this part of Calabria

The apartment is beautiful. We loved our stay here. The property is in an ideal location and the owner was very helpful and responsive. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was modern and had everything required for our stay. The WiFi was excellent and having the luxury of two bathrooms was great. We would not hesitate to stay here again, highly recommended if you are staying in Reggio Calabria.

This is one of the best & cleanest Hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and the staff was amazing and completely organised with everything at hand. I would advise anyone going to Reggio Calabria to stay here 100%. Even gave a birthday surprise/cake which was so generous I can’t even describe! Room has everything you need, massive walk in shower, and little balcony with cushions and great sea view!

Very nice location, super comfortable apartments with washing machine and kitchen . Lot of room for family with kids. The swimming pool is big and the man working as "wathcer" is super friendly with kids and with adults. The stuff is nice and friendly. Additional note: the facility it's mosquito-free!! (Very important because Calabria is famous for very aggressive tiger mosquitos )

Very pleasant hotel in the city center. Just a few minutes walk from the Duomo and from the famous „Falcomata“ the lungomare of Reggio Calabria. Giuseppe is a great host, very friendly and supportive with local tips and suggestions. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. If you are in Reggio Calabria, stop here for a super friendly and really good quality for money stay!

Massimiliano is an excellent host and he has a wonderful apartment that is very comfortable and well set up. He has thought of every need (including providing an umbrella). It is well located and close to the Museo Archeologico di Reggio Calabria. A short walk to the Lungomare walk to take in the sights of Sicily across the straits and the mountains behind the city.

Hostels are not that common in Calabria, so it was a surprise to see that a new hostel had just been opened in Reggio Calabria. Just few steps away from the waterfront and the main shopping road, Malalbergo has all the features for being a reference place in the town. A very modern design, dorming rooms with comforts and welcoming staff add positive points.

Breakfast was average, no better than having a coffee and croissant at a bar. The location was particularly bad, the hotel is on the main road linking North to South Calabria. Access to the beach was either by crossing this busy road or going through a disgusting underpass walking by a stagnant river. The swimming pool was nothing like the picture.

It was perfect to stay in this hotel. Very comfortable location, next to the hotel is port, its in the center of the city. Staff is very attentive, cute. Everyday houskeeping was cleaning room. Reggio Calabria become one of my favorite cities in Italy. I will back soon and again at this hotel Thank you! With my best regards, from Georgia.

Perfect place to stay and explore Reggio di Calabria. Close to train station and port where you can find ferries to Sicily. Apartment is very clean, cosy and completely equipped (with two balcony) Aurora gave us some useful tips and was very hospitable during our whole stay. It was a great choice. Thank you very much 😊

Hotel Tirreno is a jewel on Calabria. Beautiful, extremely clean; wonderful friendly and helpful staff! Olga and Stefania helped us to choose restaurants and gave advice on places to visit. Very tasteful breakfast. Our children already plan to go to Tirreno. Highly recommend!

The hosts were extremely kind and helpful! The breakfast was amazing and they went out of their way to help in any way they could. I have stayed in hotels around Calabria and when I return I will not stay anywhere else besides Casa Canale. Amazing service and place!
